அந்த அற்பமான யூதர் செய்கிறது என்ன, அவர்களுக்கு இடங்கொடுக்கப்படுமோ, பலியிடுவார்களோ, ஒருநாளிலே முடித்துப்போடுவார்களோ, சுட்டெரித்துப் போடப்பட்டு மண்மேடுகளான கற்களுக்கு உயிர் கொடுப்பார்களோ, என்று தன் சகோதரருக்கும் சமாரியாவின் சேனைக்கும் முன்பாகச் சொன்னான்.

சன்பல்லாத் அவனது நண்பர்களோடும் சமாரியாவிலுள்ள படைவீரர்களோடும் பேசி, “பலவீனமுள்ள இந்த யூதர்கள் என்ன செய்துகொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்? அவர்களை தனியாக விடுவோம் என்று நினைக்கிறார்களா? அவர்கள் பலியிடலாம் என்று நினைக்கிறார்களா? ஒரே ஒரு நாளிலேயே கட்டி முடித்துவிடலாம் என்று நினைக்கிறார்களா? சாம்பல் மேடுகளிலும் புழுதிமேடுகளிலும் உள்ள கற்களுக்கு உயிர்கொடுக்க அவர்களால் முடியாது. இவை சாம்பல் மற்றும் புழுதிக் குவியல்களே” என்றான்.
