உலகத்திலும் உலகத்திலுள்ளவைகளிலும் அன்புகூராதிருங்கள்; ஒருவன் உலகத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்தால் அவனிடத்தில் பிதாவின் அன்பில்லை.

ஏழாம் தூதன் எக்காளம் ஊதினான்; அப்பொழுது உலகத்தின் ராஜ்யங்கள் நம்முடைய கர்த்தருக்கும், அவருடைய கிறிஸ்துவுக்குமுரிய ராஜ்யங்களாயின; அவர் சதாகாலங்களிலும் ராஜ்யபாரம் பண்ணுவார் என்னும் கெம்பீர சத்தங்கள் வானத்தில் உண்டாயின.

ஒருவன் ஐசுவரியவானாகி, அவன் வீட்டின் மகிமை பெருகும்போது, நீ பயப்படாதே.

பின்பு பிசாசு அவரை உயர்ந்த மலையின்மேல் கொண்டுபோய், உலகத்தின் சகல ராஜ்யங்களையும் ஒரு நிமிஷத்திலே அவருக்குக் காண்பித்து:

மாம்சமெல்லாம் புல்லைப்போலவும், மனுஷருடைய மகிமையெல்லாம் புல்லின் பூவைப்போலவுமிருக்கிறது; புல் உலர்ந்தது, அதின் பூவும் உதிர்ந்தது.

அவன் தன் ராஜ்யத்தின் மகிமையான ஐசுவரியத்தையும், தன் மகத்துவத்தின் சிறந்த பிரதாபத்தையும் அநேக நாளாகிய நூற்றெண்பதுநாளளவும் விளங்கச்செய்துகொண்டிருந்தான்.

தன் ஐசுவரியத்தின் மகிமையையும், தன் பிள்ளைகளின் திரட்சியையும், ராஜா தன்னைப் பெரியவனாக்கி, தன்னைப் பிரபுக்கள்மேலும் ராஜாவின் ஊழியக்காரர்மேலும் உயர்த்தின எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆமான் அவர்களுக்கு விவரித்துச்சொன்னான்.

அப்பொழுது பிசாசு அவரைப் பரிசுத்த நகரத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோய், தேவாலயத்து உப்பரிகையின் மேல் அவரை நிறுத்தி:

விசுவாசத்தினாலே மோசே தான் பெரியவனானபோது பார்வோனுடைய குமாரத்தியின் மகன் என்னப்படுவதை வெறுத்து,
