Proverbs 1:1-7 in Malayalam

1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;

2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;

3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;

4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

1 യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായി ദാവീദിന്റെ മകനായ ശലോമോന്റെ സദൃശവാക്യങ്ങൾ.
The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel;

2 ജ്ഞാനവും പ്രബോധനവും പ്രാപിപ്പാനും വിവേകവചനങ്ങളെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പാനും
To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding;

3 പരിജ്ഞാനം, നീതി, ന്യായം, നേർ എന്നിവെക്കായി പ്രബോധനം ലഭിപ്പാനും
To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;

4 അല്പബുദ്ധികൾക്കു സൂക്ഷ്മബുദ്ധിയും ബാലന്നു പരിജ്ഞാനവും വകതിരിവും നല്കുവാനും
To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

5 ജ്ഞാനി കേട്ടിട്ടു വിദ്യാഭിവൃദ്ധിപ്രാപിപ്പാനും, ബുദ്ധിമാൻ സദുപദേശം സമ്പാദിപ്പാനും
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

6 സദൃശവാക്യങ്ങളും അലങ്കാരവചനങ്ങളും ജ്ഞാനികളുടെ മൊഴികളും കടങ്കഥകളും മനസ്സിലാക്കുവാനും അവ ഉതകുന്നു.
