മൂന്നു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ യെഹൂദന്മാരിൽ പ്രധാനികളായവരെ വിളിപ്പിച്ചു. അവർ വന്നുകൂടിയപ്പോൾ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞാൻ ജനത്തിന്നോ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ആചാരങ്ങൾക്കോ വിരോധം ഒന്നും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലാതിരിക്കെ എന്നെ യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു ബദ്ധനായി റോമക്കാരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു.

And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
