ലൂക്കോസ് 24
1 അവർ ഒരുക്കിയ സുഗന്ധവർഗ്ഗം എടുത്തു ആഴ്ചവട്ടത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം ദിവസം അതികാലത്തു കല്ലറെക്കൽ എത്തി,
2 കല്ലറയിൽ നിന്നു കല്ലു ഉരുട്ടിക്കളഞ്ഞതായി കണ്ടു.
3 അകത്തു കടന്നാറെ കർത്താവായ യേശുവിന്റെ ശരീരം കണ്ടില്ല.
4 അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു അവർ ചഞ്ചലിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മിന്നുന്ന വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ച രണ്ടു പുരുഷാന്മാർ അരികെ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.
5 ഭയപ്പെട്ടു മുഖം കുനിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ജീവനുള്ളവനെ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?
6 അവൻ ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു;
7 മുമ്പെ ഗലീലയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടു: മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ പാപികളായ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു ക്രൂശിക്കയും അവൻ മൂന്നാം നാൾ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും വേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതു ഓർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു
8 അവർ അവന്റെ വാക്കു ഓർത്തു,
9 കല്ലറ വിട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി പതിനൊരുവർ മുതലായ എല്ലാവരോടും ഇതു ഒക്കെയും അറിയിച്ചു.
10 അവർ ആരെന്നാൽ മഗ്ദലക്കാരത്തി മറിയ, യോഹന്നാ, യാക്കോബിന്റെ അമ്മ മറിയ എന്നവർ തന്നേ. അവരോടുകൂടെയുള്ള മറ്റു സ്ത്രീകളും അതു അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
11 ഈ വാക്കു അവർക്കു വെറും കഥപോലെ തോന്നി; അവരെ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.
12 (എന്നാൽ പത്രൊസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു കല്ലറെക്കൽ ഓടിച്ചെന്നു കുനിഞ്ഞു നോക്കി, തുണി മാത്രം കണ്ടു, സംഭവിച്ചതെന്തെന്നു ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.)
13 അന്നു തന്നേ അവരിൽ രണ്ടുപേർ യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു ഏഴു നാഴിക ദൂരമുള്ള എമ്മവുസ്സ് എന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു പോകയിൽ
14 ഈ സംഭവിച്ചതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒക്കെയും തമ്മിൽ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
15 സംസാരിച്ചും തർക്കിച്ചും കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു താനും അടുത്തുചെന്നു അവരോടു ചേർന്നു നടന്നു.
16 അവനെ അറിയാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ കണ്ണു നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു.
17 അവൻ അവരോടു: “നിങ്ങൾ വഴിനടന്നു തമ്മിൽ വാദിക്കുന്ന ഈ കാര്യം എന്തു” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; അവർ വാടിയ മുഖത്തോടെ നിന്നു.
18 ക്ളെയൊപ്പാവു എന്നു പേരുള്ളവൻ; യെരൂശലേമിലെ പരദേശികളിൽ നീ മാത്രം ഈ നാളുകളിൽ അവിടെ സംഭവിച്ച കാര്യം അറിയാതിരിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
19 “ഏതു” എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവർ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ദൈവത്തിന്നും സകലജനത്തിനും മുമ്പാകെ പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും വാക്കിലും ശക്തിയുള്ള പ്രവാചകനായിരുന്ന നസറായനായ യേശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതു തന്നേ.
20 നമ്മുടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രമാണികളും അവനെ മരണവിധിക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചു ക്രൂശിച്ചു.
21 ഞങ്ങളോ അവൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പാനുള്ളവൻ എന്നു ആശിച്ചിരുന്നു; അത്രയുമല്ല, ഇതു സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടു ഇന്നു മൂന്നാം നാൾ ആകുന്നു.
22 ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ചില സ്ത്രീകൾ രാവിലെ കല്ലറെക്കൽ പോയി
23 അവന്റെ ശരീരം കാണാതെ മടങ്ങിവന്നു അവൻ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ ദർശനം കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങളെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിച്ചു.
24 ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ചിലർ കല്ലറക്കൽ ചെന്നു സ്ത്രീകൾ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ തന്നേ കണ്ടു; അവനെ കണ്ടില്ലതാനും.
25 അവൻ അവരോടു: “അയ്യോ, ബുദ്ധിഹീനരേ, പ്രവാചകന്മാർ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം വിശ്വസിക്കാത്ത മന്ദബുദ്ധികളേ,
26 ക്രിസ്തു ഇങ്ങനെ കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിച്ചിട്ടു തന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിൽ കടക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
27 മോശെ തുടങ്ങി സകലപ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ നിന്നും എല്ലാതിരുവെഴുത്തുകളിലും തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ളതു അവർക്കു വ്യാഖ്യാനിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.
28 അവർ പോകുന്ന ഗ്രാമത്തോടു അടുത്തപ്പോൾ അവൻ മുമ്പോട്ടു പോകുന്ന ഭാവം കാണിച്ചു.
29 അവരോ: ഞങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പാർക്കുക; നേരം വൈകി അസ്തമിപ്പാറായല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ നിർബന്ധിച്ചു; അവൻ അവരോടുകൂടെ പാർപ്പാൻ ചെന്നു.
30 അവരുമായി ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അപ്പം എടുത്തു അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു നുറുക്കി അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു.
31 ഉടനെ അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു അവർ അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞു; അവൻ അവർക്കു അപ്രത്യക്ഷനായി
32 അവൻ വഴിയിൽ നമ്മോടു സംസാരിച്ചു തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ തെളിയിക്കുമ്പോൾ നമ്മുടെ ഹൃദയം നമ്മുടെ ഉള്ളിൽ കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നില്ലയോ എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.
33 ആ നാഴികയിൽ തന്നേ അവർ എഴുന്നേറ്റു യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോന്നു.
34 കർത്താവു വാസ്തവമായി ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിമോന്നു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി എന്നു കൂടിയിരുന്നു പറയുന്ന പതിനൊരുവരെയും കൂടെയുള്ളവരെയും കണ്ടു.
35 വഴിയിൽ സംഭവിച്ചതും അവൻ അപ്പം നുറുക്കുകയിൽ തങ്ങൾക്കു അറിയായ്‍വന്നതും അവർ വിവരിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞു.
36 ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ അവരുടെ നടുവിൽ നിന്നു: (“നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമാധാനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു”.)
37 അവർ ഞെട്ടി ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; ഒരു ഭൂതത്തെ കാണുന്നു എന്നു അവർക്കു തോന്നി.
38 അവൻ അവരോടു “നിങ്ങൾ കലങ്ങുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ സംശയം പൊങ്ങുന്നതും എന്തു?
39 ഞാൻ തന്നെ ആകുന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ കയ്യും കാലും നോക്കി അറിവിൻ; എന്നെ തൊട്ടുനോക്കുവിൻ; എന്നിൽ കാണുന്നതുപോലെ ഭൂതത്തിന്നു മാംസവും അസ്ഥിയും ഇല്ലല്ലോ ”എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
40 (ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവൻ കയ്യും കാലും അവരെ കാണിച്ചു.)
41 അവർ സന്തോഷത്താൽ വിശ്വസിക്കാതെ അതിശയിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ അവരോടു: “തിന്നുവാൻ വല്ലതും ഇവിടെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പക്കൽ ഉണ്ടോ ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
42 അവർ ഒരു ഖണ്ഡം വറുത്ത മീനും (തേൻ കട്ടയും) അവന്നു കൊടുത്തു.
43 അതു അവൻ വാങ്ങി അവർ കാൺകെ തിന്നു.
44 പിന്നെ അവൻ അവരോടു: “ഇതാകുന്നു നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു. മോശെയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലും പ്രവാചകപുസ്തകങ്ങളിലും സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങളിലും എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും നിവൃത്തിയാകേണം എന്നുള്ളതു തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു
45 തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെ തിരിച്ചറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരുടെ ബുദ്ധിയെ തുറന്നു.
46 ക്രിസ്തു കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കയും മൂന്നാം നാൾ മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കയും
47 അവന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ മാനസാന്തരവും പാപമോചനവും യെരൂശലേമിൽ തുടങ്ങി സകലജാതികളിലും പ്രസംഗിക്കയും വേണം എന്നിങ്ങനെ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
48 ഇതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു.
49 എന്റെ പിതാവു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തതിനെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേൽ അയക്കും. നിങ്ങളോ ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്നു ശക്തി ധരിക്കുവോളം നഗരത്തിൽ പാർപ്പിൻ ”എന്നും അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
50 അനന്തരം അവൻ അവരെ ബേഥാന്യയോളം കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൈ ഉയർത്തി അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
51 അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കയിൽ അവൻ അവരെ വിട്ടു പിരിഞ്ഞു (സ്വർഗ്ഗാരോഹണം ചെയ്തു).
52 അവർ (അവനെ നമസ്ക്കരിച്ചു) മഹാസന്തോഷത്തോടെ യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു
53 എല്ലായ്പോഴും ദൈവലായത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു ദൈവത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തിപ്പോന്നു.
1 Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
2 And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.
3 And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:
5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?
6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,
7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 And they remembered his words,
9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.
12 Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.
13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
18 And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
19 And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
28 And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
29 But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.
32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
33 And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,
34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
35 And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.
36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
John 21 in Tamil and English
1 അതിന്റെ ശേഷം യേശു പിന്നെയും തിബെര്യാസ് കടൽക്കരയിൽ വെച്ചു ശിഷ്യന്മാർക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി; പ്രത്യക്ഷനായതു ഈ വിധം ആയിരുന്നു:
After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.
2 ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസും ദിദിമൊസ് എന്ന തോമാസും ഗലീലയിലുള്ള കാനയിലെ നഥനയേലും സെബെദിമക്കളും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ വേറെ രണ്ടുപേരും ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടിയിരുന്നു.
There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
3 ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ് അവരോടു: ഞാൻ മീൻ പിടിപ്പാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഞങ്ങളും പോരുന്നു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ പുറപ്പെട്ടു പടകു കയറി പോയി; ആ രാത്രിയിൽ ഒന്നും പിടിച്ചില്ല.
Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.
4 പുലർച്ച ആയപ്പോൾ യേശു കരയിൽ നിന്നിരുന്നു; യേശു ആകുന്നു എന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാർ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.
But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
5 യേശു അവരോടു: കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ, കൂട്ടുവാൻ വല്ലതും ഉണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; ഇല്ല എന്നു അവർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
6 പടകിന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു വല വീശുവിൻ; എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു കിട്ടും എന്നു അവൻ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ വീശി, മീനിന്റെ പെരുപ്പം ഹേതുവായി അതു വലിപ്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.
And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
7 യേശു സ്നേഹിച്ച ശിഷ്യൻ പത്രൊസിനോടു: അതു കർത്താവു ആകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; കർത്താവു ആകുന്നു എന്നു ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ് കേട്ടിട്ടു, താൻ നഗ്നനാകയാൽ അങ്കി അരയിൽ ചുറ്റി കടലിൽ ചാടി.
Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.
8 ശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാർ കരയിൽ നിന്നു ഏകദേശം ഇരുനൂറു മുഴത്തിൽ അധികം ദൂരത്തല്ലായ്കയാൽ മീൻ നിറഞ്ഞ വല ഇഴെച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ചെറിയ പടകിൽ വന്നു.
And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes.
9 കരെക്കു ഇറെങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവർ തീക്കനലും അതിന്മേൽ മീൻ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതും അപ്പവും കണ്ടു.
As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.
10 യേശു അവരോടു: ഇപ്പോൾ പിടിച്ച മീൻ ചിലതു കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.
11 ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസ് കയറി നൂറ്റമ്പത്തുമൂന്നു വലിയ മീൻ നിറഞ്ഞ വല കരെക്കു വലിച്ചു കയറ്റി; അത്ര വളരെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നിട്ടും വല കീറിയില്ല.
Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.
12 യേശു അവരോടു: വന്നു പ്രാതൽ കഴിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; കർത്താവാകുന്നു എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ഒരുത്തനും: നീ ആർ എന്നു അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാൻ തുനിഞ്ഞില്ല.
Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
13 യേശു വന്നു അപ്പം എടുത്തു അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു; മീനും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ യേശു മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നാം പ്രാവശ്യം ശിഷ്യന്മാർക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.
Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise.
14 യേശു മരിച്ചവരിൽ നിന്നു ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നാംപ്രവാശ്യം ശിഷ്യന്മാർക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.
This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.
15 അവർ പ്രാതൽ കഴിച്ചശേഷം യേശു ശിമോൻ പത്രൊസിനോടു: യോഹന്നാന്റെ മകനായ ശിമോനേ, നീ ഇവരിൽ അധികമായി എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഉവ്വു, കർത്താവേ, എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടു എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ മേയ്ക്ക എന്നു അവൻ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 രണ്ടാമതും അവനോടു: യോഹന്നാന്റെ മകനായ ശിമോനേ, നീ എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നുവോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവൻ ഉവ്വു കർത്താവേ, എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടു എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. എന്റെ ആടുകളെ പാലിക്ക എന്നു അവൻ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 മൂന്നാമതും അവനോടു: യോഹന്നാന്റെ മകനായ ശിമോനേ, നിനക്കു എന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടോ എന്നു മൂന്നാമതും ചോദിക്കയാൽ പത്രൊസ് ദുഃഖിച്ചു: കർത്താവേ, നീ സകലവും അറിയുന്നു; എനിക്കു നിന്നോടു പ്രിയമുണ്ടു എന്നും നീ അറിയുന്നു എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. യേശു അവനോടു: എന്റെ ആടുകളെ മേയ്ക്ക.
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
18 ആമേൻ, ആമേൻ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു: നീ യൌവനക്കാരൻ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ നീ തന്നേ അര കെട്ടി ഇഷ്ടമുള്ളേടത്തു നടന്നു; വയസ്സനായശേഷമോ നീ കൈ നീട്ടുകയും മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ നിന്റെ അര കെട്ടി നിനക്കു ഇഷ്ടമില്ലാത്ത ഇടത്തേക്കു നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
19 അതിനാൽ അവൻ ഇന്നവിധം മരണം കൊണ്ടു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തും എന്നു അവൻ സൂചിപ്പിച്ചു; ഇതു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു: എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
20 പത്രൊസ് തിരിഞ്ഞു യേശു സ്നേഹിച്ച ശിഷ്യൻ പിൻചെല്ലുന്നതു കണ്ടു; അത്താഴത്തിൽ അവന്റെ നെഞ്ചോടു ചാഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടു: കർത്താവേ, നിന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവൻ ആർ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതു ഇവൻ തന്നേ.
Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
21 അവനെ പത്രൊസ് കണ്ടിട്ടു: കർത്താവേ, ഇവന്നു എന്തു ഭവിക്കും എന്നു യേശുവിനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.
Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
22 യേശു അവനോടു: ഞാൻ വരുവോളം ഇവൻ ഇരിക്കേണമെന്നു എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടം ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അതു നിനക്കു എന്തു? നീ എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
23 ആകയാൽ ആ ശിഷ്യൻ മരിക്കയില്ല എന്നൊരു ശ്രുതി സഹോദരന്മാരുടെ ഇടയിൽ പരന്നു. യേശുവോ: അവൻ മരിക്കയില്ല എന്നല്ല, ഞാൻ വരുവോളം ഇവൻ ഇരിക്കേണം എന്നു എനിക്കു ഇഷ്ടമുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അതു നിനക്കു എന്തു എന്നത്രേ അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു.
Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?
24 ഈ ശിഷ്യൻ ഇതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നവനും ഇതു എഴുതിയവനും ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.
This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
25 യേശു ചെയ്തതു മറ്റു പലതും ഉണ്ടു; അതു ഓരോന്നായി എഴുതിയാൽ എഴുതിയ പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ ലോകത്തിൽ തന്നേയും ഒതുങ്ങുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിരൂപിക്കുന്നു.
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
