ബീജം വീണസകലവസ്ത്രവും എല്ലാതോലും വെള്ളത്തിൽ കഴുകുകയും അതു സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കയും വേണം.

| the seed | שִׁכְבַת | šikbat | sheek-VAHT |
| copulation, of | זָ֑רַע | zāraʿ | ZA-ra |
| shall be washed | וְכֻבַּ֥ס | wĕkubbas | veh-hoo-BAHS |
| with water, | בַּמַּ֖יִם | bammayim | ba-MA-yeem |
| unclean be and | וְטָמֵ֥א | wĕṭāmēʾ | veh-ta-MAY |
| until | עַד | ʿad | ad |
| the even. | הָעָֽרֶב׃ | hāʿāreb | ha-AH-rev |
