യിരേമ്യാവു 12:4
ദേശം ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നതും നിലത്തിലെ സസ്യമൊക്കെയും വാടുന്നതും എത്രത്തോളം? നിവാസികളുടെ ദുഷ്ടതനിമിത്തം മൃഗങ്ങളും പക്ഷികളും നശിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; ഇവൻ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അന്ത്യാവസ്ഥ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു അവർ പറയുന്നു.
