യെശയ്യാ 30:1-5

1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!

3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

4 For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.

5 They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.

1 പാപത്തോടു പാപം കൂട്ടുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം എന്നെ കൂടാതെ ആലോചന കഴിക്കയും എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ കൂടാതെ സഖ്യത ചെയ്കയും

2 ഫറവോന്റെ സംരക്ഷണയിൽ തങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ സംരക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നിഴലിൽ ശരണം പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും എന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിക്കാതെ മിസ്രയീമിലേക്കു പോകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മത്സരമുള്ള മക്കൾക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

3 എന്നാൽ ഫറവോന്റെ സംരക്ഷണ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നാണമായും മിസ്രയീമിന്റെ നിഴലിലെ ശരണം ലജ്ജയായും ഭവിക്കും.
Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

4 അവന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ സോവനിൽ ആയി അവന്റെ ദൂതന്മാർ ഹാനേസിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

5 അവർ ഒക്കെയും തങ്ങൾക്കു ലജ്ജയും അപമാനവും അല്ലാതെ ഉപകാരമോ സഹായമോ പ്രയോജനമോ ഒന്നും വരാത്ത ഒരു ജാതിനിമിത്തം ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.
