അതു നിന്റെ കയ്യിന്മേൽ അടയാളമായും നിന്റെ കണ്ണുകളുടെ നടുവിൽ നെറ്റിപ്പട്ടമായും ഇരിക്കേണം. യഹോവ ഞങ്ങളെ ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടു മിസ്രയീമിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു എന്നു നീ അവനോടു പറയേണം.

എന്നാൽ ഇതു എന്തു എന്നു നാളെ നിന്റെ മകൻ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ: യഹോവ ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടു അടിമവീടായ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു;

അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ എല്ലാം മനുഷ്യർ കാണേണ്ടതിന്നത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു; തങ്ങളുടെ മന്ത്രപ്പട്ട വീതിയാക്കി തൊങ്ങൽ വലുതാക്കുന്നു.
