സന്ധ്യയാകുമ്പോൾ അവൻ വെള്ളത്തിൽ കുളിക്കേണം; സൂര്യൻ അസ്തമിച്ചിട്ടു അവന്നു പാളയത്തിന്നകത്തു വരാം.

| when evening | לִפְנֽוֹת | lipnôt | leef-NOTE |
| cometh on, | עֶ֖רֶב | ʿereb | EH-rev |
| wash shall he | יִרְחַ֣ץ | yirḥaṣ | yeer-HAHTS |
| himself with water: | בַּמָּ֑יִם | bammāyim | ba-MA-yeem |
| sun the when and | וּכְבֹ֣א | ûkĕbōʾ | oo-heh-VOH |
| is down, | הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ | haššemeš | ha-SHEH-mesh |
| come shall he | יָבֹ֖א | yābōʾ | ya-VOH |
| into | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| תּ֥וֹךְ | tôk | toke | |
| the camp | הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ | hammaḥăne | HA-ma-huh-NEH |
