ശമൂവേൽ-1 9:27
പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ അറ്റത്തു എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ശമൂവേൽ ശൌലിനോടു: ഭൃത്യൻ മുമ്പെ കടന്നു പോകുവാൻ പറക; - അവൻ കടന്നുപോയി;-- ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു ദൈവത്തിന്റെ അരുളപ്പാടു അറിയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ അല്പം നിൽക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

| the servant | לַנַּ֛עַר | lannaʿar | la-NA-ar |
| pass on | וְיַֽעֲבֹ֥ר | wĕyaʿăbōr | veh-ya-uh-VORE |
| before | לְפָנֵ֖ינוּ | lĕpānênû | leh-fa-NAY-noo |
| us, (and he passed on,) | וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֑ר | wayyaʿăbōr | va-ya-uh-VORE |
| but stand | וְאַתָּה֙ | wĕʾattāh | veh-ah-TA |
| thou | עֲמֹ֣ד | ʿămōd | uh-MODE |
| while, a still | כַּיּ֔וֹם | kayyôm | KA-yome |
| that I may shew | וְאַשְׁמִֽיעֲךָ֖ | wĕʾašmîʿăkā | veh-ash-mee-uh-HA |
