ശമൂവേൽ-1 13:12
ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ ഇപ്പോൾ ഇങ്ങു ഗില്ഗാലിൽ വന്നു എന്നെ ആക്രമിക്കും; ഞാൻ യഹോവയോടു കൃപെക്കായി അപേക്ഷിച്ചതുമില്ലല്ലോ എന്നുവെച്ചു ഞാൻ ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടു ഹോമയാഗം കഴിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

| down come will | יֵֽרְד֨וּ | yērĕdû | yay-reh-DOO |
| now | פְלִשְׁתִּ֤ים | pĕlištîm | feh-leesh-TEEM |
| upon | אֵלַי֙ | ʾēlay | ay-LA |
| me to Gilgal, | הַגִּלְגָּ֔ל | haggilgāl | ha-ɡeel-ɡAHL |
| not have I and | וּפְנֵ֥י | ûpĕnê | oo-feh-NAY |
| made supplication | יְהוָ֖ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| unto | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| the Lord: | חִלִּ֑יתִי | ḥillîtî | hee-LEE-tee |
| myself forced I | וָֽאֶתְאַפַּ֔ק | wāʾetʾappaq | va-et-ah-PAHK |
| therefore, and offered | וָאַֽעֲלֶ֖ה | wāʾaʿăle | va-ah-uh-LEH |
| a burnt offering. | הָֽעֹלָֽה׃ | hāʿōlâ | HA-oh-LA |
