Matthew 23 - BBE (Malayalam)

1 Then Jesus said to the people and to his disciples:അനന്തരം യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തോടും തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടും പറഞ്ഞതു:

2 The scribes and the Pharisees have the authority of Moses;“ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരും മോശെയുടെ പീഠത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

3 All things, then, which they give you orders to do, these do and keep: but do not take their works as your example, for they say and do not.ആകയാൽ അവർ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും പ്രമാണിച്ചു ചെയ്‍വിൻ; അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ പോലെ ചെയ്യരുതു താനും. അവർ പറയുന്നതല്ലാതെ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ലല്ലോ.

4 They make hard laws and put great weights on men's backs; but they themselves will not put a finger to them.അവർ ഘനമുള്ള ചുമടുകളെ കെട്ടി മനുഷ്യരുടെ തോളിൽ വെക്കുന്നു; ഒരു വിരൽ കെണ്ടുപോലും അവയെ തൊടുവാൻ അവർക്കു മനസ്സില്ല.

5 But all their works they do so as to be seen by men: for they make wide their phylacteries, and the edges of their robes,അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ എല്ലാം മനുഷ്യർ കാണേണ്ടതിന്നത്രേ ചെയ്യുന്നതു; തങ്ങളുടെ മന്ത്രപ്പട്ട വീതിയാക്കി തൊങ്ങൽ വലുതാക്കുന്നു.

6 And the things desired by them are the first places at feasts, and the chief seats in the Synagogues,അത്താഴത്തിൽ പ്രധാനസ്ഥലവും പള്ളിയിൽ മുഖ്യാസനവും

7 And words of respect in the market-places, and to be named by men, Teacher.അങ്ങാടിയിൽ വന്ദനവും മനുഷ്യർ റബ്ബീ എന്നു വളിക്കുന്നതും അവർക്കു പ്രിയമാകുന്നു.

8 But you may not be named Teacher: for one is your teacher, and you are all brothers.നിങ്ങളോ റബ്ബീ എന്നു പേർ എടുക്കരുതു. ഒരുത്തൻ അത്രേ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഗുരു;

9 And give no man the name of father on earth: because one is your Father, who is in heaven.നിങ്ങളോ എല്ലാവരും സഹോദരന്മാർ. ഭൂമിയിൽ ആരെയും പിതാവു എന്നു വിളിക്കരുതു; ഒരുത്തൻ അത്രേ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു, സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥൻ തന്നേ.

10 And you may not be named guides: because one is your Guide, even Christ.നിങ്ങൾ നായകന്മാർ എന്നും പേർ എടുക്കരുതു, ഒരുത്തൻ അത്രേ നിങ്ങളുടെ നായകൻ, ക്രിസ്തു തന്നെ.

11 But let the greatest among you be your servant.നിങ്ങളിൽ ഏറ്റവും വലിയവൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷക്കാരൻ ആകേണം.

12 And whoever makes himself high will be made low, and whoever makes himself low will be made high.തന്നെത്താൻ ഉയർത്തുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം താഴ്ത്തപ്പെടും; തന്നെത്താൻ താഴ്ത്തുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം ഉയർത്തപ്പെടും.

13 But a curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! because you are shutting the kingdom of heaven against men: for you do not go in yourselves, and those who are going in, you keep back.കപടഭക്തിക്കാരായ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങൾ മനുഷ്യർക്കു സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം അടെച്ചുകളയുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ കടക്കുന്നില്ല, കടക്കുന്നവരെ കടപ്പാൻ സമ്മതിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല. (കപടഭക്തിക്കാരായ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങൾ വിധവമാരുടെ വീടുകളെ വിഴുങ്ങുകയും ഉപായരൂപേണ ദീർഘമായി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഇതു ഹേതുവായി നിങ്ങൾക്കു കടുമയേറിയ ശിക്ഷാവിധി വരും;)

14 []കപടഭക്തിക്കാരായ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങൾ ഒരുത്തനെ മതത്തിൽ ചേർക്കുവാൻ കടലും കരയും ചുറ്റി നടക്കുന്നു;

15 A curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! for you go about land and sea to get one disciple and, having him, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.ചേർന്നശേഷം അവനെ നിങ്ങളെക്കാൾ ഇരട്ടിച്ച നരകയോഗ്യൻ ആക്കുന്നു.

16 A curse is on you, blind guides, who say, Whoever takes an oath by the Temple, it is nothing; but whoever takes an oath by the gold of the Temple, he is responsible.ആരെങ്കിലും മന്ദിരത്തെച്ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്താൽ ഏതുമില്ല എന്നും മന്ദിരത്തിലെ സ്വർണ്ണത്തെച്ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നവനോ കടക്കാരൻ എന്നും പറയുന്ന കുരുടന്മാരായ വഴികാട്ടികളേ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം.

17 You foolish ones and blind: which is greater, the gold, or the Temple which makes the gold holy?മൂഢന്മാരും കുരുടുന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, ഏതു വലിയതു? സ്വർണ്ണമോ സ്വർണ്ണത്തെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന മന്ദിരമോ?

18 And, Whoever takes an oath by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever takes an oath by the offering which is on it, he is responsible.യാഗപീഠത്തെച്ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്താൽ ഏതുമില്ല; അതിന്മേലുള്ള വഴിപാടു ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നവനോ കടക്കാരൻ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു.

19 You blind ones: which is greater, the offering, or the altar which makes the offering holy?കുരുടന്മാരായുള്ളോരേ, ഏതു വലിയതു? വഴിപാടോ വഴിപാടിനെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യാഗ പീഠമോ?

20 He, then, who takes an oath by the altar, takes it by the altar and by all things on it.ആകയാൽ യാഗപിഠത്തെച്ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ അതിനെയും അതിന്മേലുള്ള സകലത്തെയും ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

21 And he who takes an oath by the Temple, takes it by the Temple and by him whose house it is.മന്ദിരത്തെച്ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ അതിനെയും അതിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവനെയും ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

22 And he who takes an oath by heaven, takes it by the seat of God, and by him who is seated on it.സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തെച്ചൊല്ലി സത്യംചെയ്യുന്നവൻ, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെയും അതിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നവനെയും ചൊല്ലി സത്യം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

23 A curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! for you make men give a tenth of all sorts of sweet-smelling plants, but you give no thought to the more important things of the law, righteousness, and mercy, and faith; but it is right for you to do these, and not to let the others be undone.കപടഭക്തിക്കാരായ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങൾ തുളസി, ചതകുപ്പ, ജീരകം ഇവയിൽ പതാരം കൊടുക്കയും ന്യായം, കരുണ, വിശ്വസ്തത ഇങ്ങനെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ഘനമേറിയവ ത്യജിച്ചുകളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. അതു ചെയ്കയും ഇതു ത്യജിക്കാതിരിക്കയും വേണം.

24 You blind guides, who take out a fly from your drink, but make no trouble over a camel.കുരുടന്മാരായ വഴികാട്ടികളേ, നിങ്ങൾ കൊതുകിനെ അരിച്ചെടുക്കയും ഒട്ടകത്തെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

25 A curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! for you make clean the outside of the cup and of the plate, but inside they are full of violent behaviour and uncontrolled desire.കപടഭക്തിക്കാരായ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങൾ കിണ്ടികിണ്ണങ്ങളുടെ പുറം വെടിപ്പാക്കുന്നു; അകത്തോ കവർച്ചയും അതിക്രമവും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

26 You blind Pharisee, first make clean the inside of the cup and of the plate, so that the outside may become equally clean.കുരുടനായ പരീശനെ, കിണ്ടികിണ്ണങ്ങളുടെ പുറം വെടിപ്പാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മുമ്പെ അവയുടെ അകം വെടിപ്പാക്കുക.

27 A curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! for you are like the resting-places of the dead, which are made white, and seem beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead men's bones and of all unclean things.കപടഭക്തിക്കാരായ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം; വെള്ളതേച്ച ശവക്കല്ലറകളോടു നിങ്ങൾ ഒത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ പുറമെ അഴകായി ശോഭിക്കുന്നെങ്കിലും അകമെ ചത്തവരുടെ അസ്ഥികളും സകലവിധ അശുദ്ധിയും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

28 Even so you seem to men to be full of righteousness, but inside you are all false and full of wrongdoing.അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ പുറമെ നിങ്ങൾ നീതിമാന്മാർ എന്നു മനുഷ്യർക്കു തോന്നുന്നു; അകമെയോ കപടഭക്തിയും അധർമ്മവും നിറഞ്ഞവരത്രേ.

29 A curse is on you, scribes and Pharisees, false ones! because you put up buildings for housing the dead bodies of the prophets, and make fair the last resting-places of good men, and say,കപടഭക്തിക്കാരായ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും പരീശന്മാരുമായുള്ളോരേ, നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഹാ കഷ്ടം; നിങ്ങൾ പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ കല്ലറകളെ പണിതും നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ കല്ലറകളെ അലങ്കരിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു:

30 If we had been living in the days of our fathers, we would not have taken part with them in the blood of the prophets.ഞങ്ങൾ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ കാലത്തു ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കിൽ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുന്നതിൽ കൂട്ടാളികൾ ആകയില്ലായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നു.

31 So that you are witnesses against yourselves that you are the sons of those who put the prophets to death.അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊന്നവരുടെ മക്കൾ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

32 Make full, then, the measure of your fathers.പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അളവു നിങ്ങൾ പൂരിച്ചു കൊൾവിൻ.

33 You snakes, offspring of snakes, how will you be kept from the punishment of hell?പാമ്പുകളേ, സർപ്പസന്തതികളേ, നിങ്ങൾ നരകവിധി എങ്ങനെ ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും?

34 For this reason, I send you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: some of them you will put to death and put on the cross, and to some of them you will give blows in your Synagogues, driving them from town to town;അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെയും ജ്ഞാനികളെയും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയക്കുന്നു; അവരിൽ ചിലരെ നിങ്ങൾ ക്രൂശിച്ചു കൊല്ലുകയും ചിലരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ പള്ളികളിൽ ചമ്മട്ടികൊണ്ടു അടിക്കയും പട്ടണത്തിൽ നിന്നു പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു ഓടിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

35 So that on you may come all the blood of the upright on the earth, from the blood of upright Abel to the blood of Zachariah, son of Barachiah, whom you put to death between the Temple and the altar.നീതിമാനായ ഹാബേലിന്റെ രക്തംമുതൽ നിങ്ങൾ മന്ദിരത്തിന്നും യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നും നടുവിൽവെച്ചു കൊന്നവനായി ബെരെഖ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ സെഖര്യാവിന്റെ രക്തംവരെ ഭൂമിയിൽ ചൊരിഞ്ഞ നീതിയുള്ള രക്തം എല്ലാം നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ വരേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.

36 Truly I say to you, All these things will come on this generation.ഇതൊക്കെയും ഈ തലമുറമേൽ വരും എന്നു ഞാൻ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, putting to death the prophets, and stoning those who are sent to her! Again and again would I have taken your children to myself as a bird takes her young ones under her wings, and you would not!യെരൂശലേമേ, യെരൂശലേമേ, പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ കൊല്ലുകയും നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരെ കല്ലെറികയും ചെയ്യുന്നവളേ, കോഴി തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളെ ചിറകിൻ കീഴിൽ ചേർക്കുംപോലെ നിന്റെ മക്കളെ ചേർത്തുകൊൾവാൻ എനിക്കു എത്രവട്ടം മനസ്സായിരുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾക്കോ മനസ്സായില്ല.

38 See, your house is made waste.നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭവനം ശൂന്യമായ്തീരും.

39 For I say to you, You will not see me from this time till you say, A blessing on him who comes in the name of the Lord.‘കർത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വരുന്നവൻ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവൻ’ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുവോളം നിങ്ങൾ ഇനി എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.”
