Luke 14
1 പരീശപ്രമാണികളിൽ ഒരുത്തന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ അവൻ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിപ്പാൻ ശബ്ബത്തിൽ ചെന്നപ്പോൾ അവർ അവനെ ഉറ്റുനോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
2 മഹോദരമുള്ളോരു മനുഷ്യൻ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
3 യേശു ന്യായശാസ്ത്രിമാരോടും പരീശന്മാരോടും: “ശബ്ബത്തിൽ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ അല്ലയോ ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അവരോ മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.
4 അവൻ അവനെ തൊട്ടു സൌഖ്യമാക്കി വിട്ടയച്ചു.
5 പിന്നെ അവരോടു: “നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുത്തന്റെ മകനോ കാളയോ ശബ്ബത്തു നാളിൽ കിണറ്റിൽ വീണാൽ ക്ഷണത്തിൽ
6 വലിച്ചെടുക്കയില്ലയോ ” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു പ്രത്യുത്തരം പറവാൻ അവർക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.
1 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.
2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.
3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?
4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;
5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
6 And they could not answer him again to these things.
