ഇതു ചെയ്തതു ആർ എന്നു ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ അന്വേഷിച്ചാറെ തിമ്നക്കാരന്റെ മരുകൻ ശിംശോൻ; അവന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ അവൻ എടുത്തു തോഴന്നു കൊടുത്തുകളഞ്ഞു എന്നു അവർക്കു അറിവുകിട്ടി; ഫെലിസ്ത്യർ ചെന്നു അവളെയും അവളുടെ അപ്പനെയും തീയിലിട്ടു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.

Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire.

Samson, שִׁמְשׁוֹן֙ šimšôn sheem-SHONE
the son in law חֲתַ֣ן ḥātān ha-TAHN
of the Timnite, הַתִּמְנִ֔י timnî teem-NEE
because כִּ֚י kî kee
he had taken לָקַ֣ח lāqaḥ la-KAHK
אֶת ʾēt ate
his wife, אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ ʾiššâ ee-SHA
and given וַֽיִּתְּנָ֖הּ nātan na-TAHN
her to his companion. לְמֵֽרֵעֵ֑הוּ mērēaʿ may-RAY-ah
came up, וַיַּֽעֲל֣וּ ʿālâ ah-LA
And the Philistines פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים pĕlištî peh-leesh-TEE
and burnt וַיִּשְׂרְפ֥וּ śārap sa-RAHF
אוֹתָ֛הּ ʾēt ate
