എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ഗെശൂർയ്യരെയും മാഖാത്യരെയും നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞില്ല; അവർ ഇന്നുവരെയും യിസ്രായേല്യരുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർത്തുവരുന്നു.

| Geshurites the but | הַמַּֽעֲכָתִ֑י | hammaʿăkātî | ha-ma-uh-ha-TEE |
| and the Maachathites | וַיֵּ֨שֶׁב | wayyēšeb | va-YAY-shev |
| dwell | גְּשׁ֤וּר | gĕšûr | ɡeh-SHOOR |
| among | וּמַֽעֲכָת֙ | ûmaʿăkāt | oo-ma-uh-HAHT |
| the Israelites | בְּקֶ֣רֶב | bĕqereb | beh-KEH-rev |
| until | יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל | yiśrāʾēl | yees-ra-ALE |
