Joshua 11:8
യഹോവ അവരെ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവർ അവരെ തോല്പിച്ചു; മഹാനഗരമായ സീദോൻ വരെയും, മിസ്രെഫോത്ത് മയീംവരെയും കിഴക്കോട്ടു മിസ്പെതാഴ്വീതിവരെയും അവരെ ഓടിച്ചു, ആരും ശേഷിക്കാതവണ്ണം സംഹരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

| great | צִיד֣וֹן | ṣîdôn | tsee-DONE |
| Zidon, | רַבָּ֗ה | rabbâ | ra-BA |
| unto and | וְעַד֙ | wĕʿad | veh-AD |
| Misrephoth-maim, | מִשְׂרְפ֣וֹת | miśrĕpôt | mees-reh-FOTE |
| and unto | מַ֔יִם | mayim | MA-yeem |
| valley the | וְעַד | wĕʿad | veh-AD |
| of Mizpeh | בִּקְעַ֥ת | biqʿat | beek-AT |
| eastward; | מִצְפֶּ֖ה | miṣpe | meets-PEH |
| smote they and | מִזְרָ֑חָה | mizrāḥâ | meez-RA-ha |
| them, until | וַיַּכֻּ֕ם | wayyakkum | va-ya-KOOM |
| they left | עַד | ʿad | ad |
| them none | בִּלְתִּ֥י | biltî | beel-TEE |
| remaining. | הִשְׁאִֽיר | hišʾîr | heesh-EER |
