וַיֹּאמְר֨וּ the va-yoh-meh-ROO הַשָּׂרִ֜ים princes ha-sa-REEM אֶל said el הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ unto ha-MEH-lek י֣וּמַת the YOO-maht נָא֮ king, na אֶת We et הָאִ֣ישׁ beseech ha-EESH הַזֶּה֒ thee, ha-ZEH כִּֽי let kee עַל al כֵּ֡ן this kane הֽוּא man hoo מְרַפֵּ֡א be meh-ra-PAY אֶת put et יְדֵי֩ to yeh-DAY אַנְשֵׁ֨י death: an-SHAY הַמִּלְחָמָ֜ה for ha-meel-ha-MA הַֽנִּשְׁאָרִ֣ים׀ thus ha-neesh-ah-REEM בָּעִ֣יר ba-EER הַזֹּ֗את he ha-ZOTE וְאֵת֙ weakeneth veh-ATE יְדֵ֣י yeh-DAY כָל the hahl הָעָ֔ם hands ha-AM לְדַבֵּ֣ר of leh-da-BARE אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם the uh-lay-HEM כַּדְּבָרִ֖ים men ka-deh-va-REEM הָאֵ֑לֶּה of ha-A-leh כִּ֣י׀ war kee הָאִ֣ישׁ that ha-EESH הַזֶּ֗ה remain ha-ZEH אֵינֶ֨נּוּ in ay-NEH-noo דֹרֵ֧שׁ this doh-RAYSH לְשָׁל֛וֹם city, leh-sha-LOME לָעָ֥ם and la-AM הַזֶּ֖ה the ha-ZEH כִּ֥י hands kee אִם of eem לְרָעָֽה׃ all leh-ra-AH
