Genesis 42 - DBY (Malayalam)

1 And Jacob saw that there was grain in Egypt, and Jacob said to his sons, Why do ye look one upon another?മിസ്രയീമിൽ ധാന്യം ഉണ്ടെന്നു യാക്കോബ് അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ തന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ നോക്കിനില്ക്കുന്നതു എന്തു?

2 And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is grain in Egypt; go down thither and buy [grain] for us from thence, in order that we may live, and not die.മിസ്രയീമിൽ ധാന്യം ഉണ്ടെന്നു ഞാൻ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നാം മരിക്കാതെ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിടെ ചെന്നു അവിടെ നിന്നു നമുക്കു ധാന്യം കൊള്ളുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3 And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy [grain] out of Egypt.യോസേഫിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാർ പത്തുപേർ മിസ്രയീമിൽ ധാന്യം കൊള്ളുവാൻ പോയി.

4 But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest mischief may befall him.എന്നാൽ യോസേഫിന്റെ അനുജനായ ബെന്യാമീന്നു പക്ഷേ വല്ല ആപത്തും ഭവിക്കും എന്നുവെച്ചു യാക്കോബ് അവനെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടുകൂടെ അയച്ചില്ല.

5 So the sons of Israel came to buy [grain] among those that came; for the famine was in the land of Canaan.അങ്ങനെ ധാന്യം കൊള്ളുവാൻ വന്നവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും വന്നു; കനാൻ ദേശത്തും ക്ഷാമം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ.

6 And Joseph, he was the governor over the land -- he it was that sold [the corn] to all the people of the land. And Joseph's brethren came and bowed down to him, the face to the earth.യോസേഫ് ദേശത്തിന്നു അധിപതിയായിരുന്നു; അവൻ തന്നേ ആയിരുന്നു ദേശത്തിലെ സകല ജനങ്ങൾക്കും ധാന്യം വിറ്റതു; യോസേഫിന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും വന്നു അവനെ സാഷ്ടാംഗം നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

7 And Joseph saw his brethren, and knew them; but he made himself strange to them, and spoke roughly to them, and said to them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan, to buy food.യോസേഫ്‌ തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരെ കണ്ടാറെ അവരെ അറിഞ്ഞു എങ്കിലും അറിയാത്ത ഭാവം നടിച്ചു അവരോടു കഠിനമായി സംസാരിച്ചു: നിങ്ങൾ എവിടെ നിന്നു വരുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവാൻ കനാൻ ദേശത്തു നിന്നു വരുന്നു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

8 And Joseph knew his brethren, but they did not know him.യോസേഫ്‌ സഹോദരന്മാരെ അറിഞ്ഞു എങ്കിലും അവർ അവനെ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

9 And Joseph remembered the dreams that he had dreamt of them; and he said to them, Ye are spies: to see the exposed places of the land ye are come.യോസേഫ് അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു കണ്ടിരുന്ന സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ ഓർത്തു അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഒറ്റുകാരാകുന്നു; ദേശത്തിന്റെ ദുർബ്ബലഭാഗം നോക്കുവാൻ നിങ്ങൾ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

10 And they said to him, No, my lord; but to buy food are thy servants come.അവർ അവനോടു: അല്ല, യജമാനനേ, അടിയങ്ങൾ ആഹാരം കൊള്ളുവാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു;

11 We are all one man's sons; we are honest: thy servants are not spies.ഞങ്ങൾ എല്ലാവരും ഒരാളുടെ മക്കൾ; ഞങ്ങൾ പരമാർത്ഥികളാകുന്നു; അടിയങ്ങൾ ഒറ്റുകാരല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12 And he said to them, No; but to see the exposed places of the land are ye come.അവൻ അവരോടു: അല്ല, നിങ്ങൾ ദേശത്തിന്റെ ദുർബ്ബലഭാഗം നോക്കുവാൻ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

13 And they said, Thy servants were twelve brethren, sons of one man, in the land of Canaan; and behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not.അതിന്നു അവർ: അടിയങ്ങൾ കനാൻ ദേശത്തുള്ള ഒരാളുടെ മക്കൾ; പന്ത്രണ്ടു സഹോദരന്മാർ ആകുന്നു; ഇളയവൻ ഇന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഉണ്ടു; ഒരുത്തൻ ഇപ്പോൾ ഇല്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

14 And Joseph said to them, That is it that I have spoken to you, saying, Ye are spies.യോസേഫ് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ ഒറ്റുകാർ തന്നേ.

15 By this ye shall be put to the proof: as Pharaoh lives, ye shall not go forth hence, unless your youngest brother come hither!ഇതിനാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ പരീക്ഷിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇളയസഹോദരൻ ഇവിടെ വന്നല്ലാതെ, ഫറവോനാണ, നിങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുകയില്ല.

16 Send one of you, that he may fetch your brother, but ye shall be imprisoned, and your words shall be put to the proof, whether the truth is in you; and if not, as Pharaoh lives, ye are spies.നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ ഒരുത്തനെ അയപ്പിൻ; നിങ്ങളോ ബദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം; നിങ്ങൾ നേരുള്ളവരോ എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു പരീക്ഷിച്ചറിയാമല്ലോ; അല്ലെന്നുവരികിൽ; ഫറവോനാണ, നിങ്ങൾ ഒറ്റുകാർ തന്നേ.

17 And he put them in custody three days.അങ്ങനെ അവൻ അവരെ മൂന്നു ദിവസം തടവിൽ ആക്കി.

18 And Joseph said to them the third day, This do, that ye may live: I fear God.മൂന്നാം ദിവസം യോസേഫ് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു ചെയ്‍വിൻ:

19 If ye are honest, let one of your brethren remain bound in the house of your prison, but go ye, carry grain for the hunger of your households;നിങ്ങൾ പരമാർത്ഥികൾ എങ്കിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു സഹോദരൻ കാരാഗൃഹത്തിൽ കിടക്കട്ടെ; നിങ്ങൾ പുറപ്പെട്ടു, നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിലെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിന്നു ധാന്യം കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിൻ.

20 and bring your youngest brother to me, in order that your words be verified, and that ye may not die. And they did so.എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇളയസഹോദരനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരേണം; അതിനാൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു നേരെന്നു തെളിയും; നിങ്ങൾ മരിക്കേണ്ടിവരികയില്ല; അവർ അങ്ങനെ സമ്മതിച്ചു.

21 Then they said one to another, We are indeed guilty concerning our brother, whose anguish of soul we saw when he besought us, and we did not hearken; therefore this distress is come upon us.ഇതു നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരനോടു നാം ചെയ്ത ദ്രോഹമാകുന്നു; അവൻ നമ്മോടു കെഞ്ചിയപ്പോൾ നാം അവന്റെ പ്രാണസങ്കടം കണ്ടാറെയും അവന്റെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടില്ലല്ലോ; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ സങ്കടം നമുക്കു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവർ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

22 And Reuben answered them, saying, Did I not speak to you, saying, Do not sin against the lad? But ye did not hearken; and now behold, his blood also is required.അതിന്നു രൂബേൻ: ബാലനോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്യരുതെന്നും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ? എന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടില്ല; ഇപ്പോൾ ഇതാ, അവന്റെ രക്തം നമ്മോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.

23 And they did not know that Joseph understood, for the interpreter was between them.യോസേഫ് അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചതു ദ്വിഭാഷിമുഖാന്തരം ആയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ ഇതു ഗ്രഹിച്ചു എന്നു അവർ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല.

24 And he turned away from them, and wept. And he returned to them, and spoke to them, and took Simeon from among them, and bound him before their eyes.അവൻ അവരെ വിട്ടു മാറിപ്പോയി കരഞ്ഞു; പിന്നെ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ നിന്നു ശിമെയോനെ പിടിച്ചു അവർ കാൺകെ ബന്ധിച്ചു.

25 And Joseph gave orders to fill their vessels with corn, and to restore every man's money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way. And thus did they to them.അവരുടെ ചാക്കിൽ ധാന്യം നിറെപ്പാനും അവരുടെ ദ്രവ്യം അവനവന്റെ ചാക്കിൽ തിരികെ വെപ്പാനും വഴിക്കു വേണ്ടിയ ആഹാരം അവർക്കു കൊടുപ്പാനും യോസേഫ് കല്പിച്ചു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ അവർക്കു ചെയ്തുകൊടുത്തു.

26 And they loaded their asses with their grain, and departed thence.അവർ ധാന്യം കഴുതപ്പുറത്തു കയറ്റി അവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടു.

27 And one of them opened his sack to give his ass food in the inn, and saw his money, and behold, it was in the mouth of his sack.വഴിയമ്പലത്തിൽവെച്ചു അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തൻ കഴുതെക്കു തീൻ കൊടുപ്പാൻ ചാക്കു അഴിച്ചപ്പോൾ തന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം ചാക്കിന്റെ വായ്ക്കൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു,

28 And he said to his brethren, My money is returned [to me], and behold, it is even in my sack. And their heart failed [them], and they were afraid, saying one to another, What is this [that] God has done to us?തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോടു: എന്റെ ദ്രവ്യം എനിക്കു തിരികെ കിട്ടി അതു ഇതാ, എന്റെ ചാക്കിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ ഉള്ളം തളർന്നു, അവർ വിറെച്ചു: ദൈവം നമ്മോടു ഈ ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നു തമ്മിൽ തമ്മിൽ പറഞ്ഞു.

29 And they came into the land of Canaan, to Jacob their father, and told him all that had befallen them, saying,അവർ കനാൻ ദേശത്തു തങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പനായ യാക്കോബിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തിയാറെ, തങ്ങൾക്കു സംഭവിച്ചതു ഒക്കെയും അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു:

30 The man, the lord of the land, spoke roughly to us, and treated us as spies of the land.ദേശത്തിലെ അധിപതിയായവൻ ഞങ്ങൾ ദേശത്തെ ഒറ്റുനോക്കുന്നവർ എന്നു വിചാരിച്ചു ഞങ്ങളോടു കഠിനമായി സംസാരിച്ചു.

31 And we said to him, We are honest; we are not spies:ഞങ്ങൾ അവനോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ പരമാർത്ഥികളാകുന്നു, ഞങ്ങൾ ഒറ്റുകാരല്ല.

32 we are twelve brethren, sons of our father; one is not, and the youngest is this day with our father in the land of Canaan.ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരു അപ്പന്റെ മക്കൾ; പന്ത്രണ്ടു സഹോരന്മാരാകുന്നു; ഒരുത്തൻ ഇപ്പോൾ ഇല്ല; ഇളയവൻ കനാൻ ദേശത്തു ഞങ്ങളുടെ അപ്പന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

33 And the man, the lord of the land, said to us, Hereby shall I know that ye are honest: leave one of your brethren with me, and take [for] the hunger of your households, and go,അതിന്നു ദേശത്തിലെ അധിപതിയായവൻ ഞങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ പരമാർത്ഥികൾ എന്നു ഞാൻ ഇതിനാൽ അറിയും: നിങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു സഹോദരനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വിട്ടേച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ വീടുകളിലെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിന്നു ധാന്യം വാങ്ങി കൊണ്ടുപോകുവിൻ.

34 and bring your youngest brother to me, and I shall know that ye are not spies, but are honest. Your brother will I give up to you; and ye may trade in the land.നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇളയസഹോദരനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ; അതിനാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഒറ്റുകാരല്ല, പരമാർത്ഥികൾ തന്നേ എന്നു ഞാൻ അറിയും; നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരനെ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുതരും; നിങ്ങൾക്കു ദേശത്തു വ്യാപാരവും ചെയ്യാം.

35 And it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that behold, every man had his bundle of money in his sack; and they saw their bundles of money, they and their father, and were afraid.പിന്നെ അവർ ചാക്കു ഒഴിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഇതാ, ഓരോരുത്തന്റെ ചാക്കിൽ അവനവന്റെ പണക്കെട്ടു ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവരും അവരുടെ അപ്പനും പണക്കെട്ടു കണ്ടാറെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടുപോയി.

36 And Jacob their father said to them, Ye have bereaved me of children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin! All these things are against me.അവരുടെ അപ്പനായ യാക്കോബ് അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ മക്കളില്ലാത്തവനാക്കുന്നു; യോസേഫ് ഇല്ല, ശിമെയോൻ ഇല്ല; ബെന്യാമീനെയും നിങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടുപോകും; സകലവും എനിക്കു പ്രതികൂലം തന്നേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

37 And Reuben spoke to his father, saying, Slay my two sons if I bring him not back to thee: give him into my hand, and I will bring him to thee again.അതിന്നു രൂബേൻ അപ്പനോടു: എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ അവനെ ഏല്പിക്ക; ഞാൻ അവനെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടക്കി കൊണ്ടുവരും; ഞാൻ അവനെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാത്തപക്ഷം എന്റെ രണ്ടു പുത്രന്മാരെ കൊന്നുകളക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

38 But he said, My son shall not go down with you, for his brother is dead, and he alone is left; and if mischief should befall him by the way in which ye go, then would ye bring down my grey hairs with sorrow to Sheol.എന്നാൽ അവൻ: എന്റെ മകൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പോരികയില്ല; അവന്റെ ജ്യോഷ്ഠൻ മരിച്ചുപോയി, അവൻ ഒരുത്തനേ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളു; നിങ്ങൾ പോകുന്ന വഴിയിൽ അവന്നു വല്ല ആപത്തും വന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ നരയെ ദുഃഖത്തോടെ പാതാളത്തിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങുമാറാക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
