Genesis 8:9
എന്നാൽ സർവ്വഭൂമിയിലും വെള്ളം കിടക്കകൊണ്ടു പ്രാവു കാൽ വെപ്പാൻ സ്ഥലം കാണാതെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പെട്ടകത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു; അവൻ കൈനീട്ടി അതിനെ പിടിച്ചു തന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പെട്ടകത്തിൽ ആക്കി.

| ark, the | הַתֵּבָ֔ה | hattēbâ | ha-tay-VA |
| for | כִּי | kî | kee |
| the waters | מַ֖יִם | mayim | MA-yeem |
| on were | עַל | ʿal | al |
| the face | פְּנֵ֣י | pĕnê | peh-NAY |
| of the whole | כָל | kāl | hahl |
| earth: | הָאָ֑רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
| then he put forth | וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח | wayyišlaḥ | va-yeesh-LAHK |
| hand, his | יָדוֹ֙ | yādô | ya-DOH |
| and took her, | וַיִּקָּחֶ֔הָ | wayyiqqāḥehā | va-yee-ka-HEH-ha |
| in her pulled and | וַיָּבֵ֥א | wayyābēʾ | va-ya-VAY |
| unto him | אֹתָ֛הּ | ʾōtāh | oh-TA |
| into | אֵלָ֖יו | ʾēlāyw | ay-LAV |
