וַיֹּ֨אמֶר Reuben va-YOH-mer אֲלֵהֶ֣ם׀ said uh-lay-HEM רְאוּבֵן֮ unto reh-oo-VANE אַל them, al תִּשְׁפְּכוּ Shed teesh-peh-HOO דָם֒ no dahm הַשְׁלִ֣יכוּ blood, hahsh-LEE-hoo אֹת֗וֹ but oh-TOH אֶל cast el הַבּ֤וֹר him HA-bore הַזֶּה֙ into ha-ZEH אֲשֶׁ֣ר this uh-SHER בַּמִּדְבָּ֔ר pit ba-meed-BAHR וְיָ֖ד that veh-YAHD אַל is al תִּשְׁלְחוּ in teesh-leh-HOO ב֑וֹ the voh לְמַ֗עַן wilderness, leh-MA-an הַצִּ֤יל and ha-TSEEL אֹתוֹ֙ lay oh-TOH מִיָּדָ֔ם no mee-ya-DAHM לַֽהֲשִׁיב֖וֹ hand la-huh-shee-VOH אֶל upon el אָבִֽיו׃ him; ah-VEEV
