അങ്ങനെ അവർ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഭക്ഷണസാധനങ്ങളും കാഹളങ്ങളും വാങ്ങി; ശേഷം യിസ്രായേല്യരെയൊക്കെയും അവൻ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പറഞ്ഞയക്കയും ആ മുന്നൂറുപേരെ നിർത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. എന്നാൽ മിദ്യാന്യരുടെ പാളയം താഴെ സമഭൂമിയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു.
