വെള്ളികൊണ്ടു അർത്തെമിസ് ദേവിയുടെ ക്ഷേത്രരൂപങ്ങളെ തീർക്കുന്ന ദെമേത്രിയൊസ് എന്ന തട്ടാൻ തൊഴിൽക്കാർക്കു വളരെ ലാഭം വരുത്തി വന്നു.

അതിനാൽ നമ്മുടെ ഈ കാര്യം ആക്ഷേപത്തിൽ ആകുവാൻ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നതുമല്ലാതെ അർത്തെമിസ് മഹാദേവിയുടെ ക്ഷേത്രം ഏതുമില്ല എന്നു വരികയും ആസ്യമുഴുവനും ഭൂതലവും ഭജിച്ചുപോരുന്നവളുടെ മാഹാത്മ്യം ഒടുങ്ങിപ്പോകയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

എന്നാൽ അവൻ യെഹൂദൻ എന്നു അറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ: എഫെസ്യരുടെ അർത്തെമിസ് മഹാദേവി എന്നു എല്ലാവരും കൂടി രണ്ടു മണിനേരത്തോളം ഏകശബ്ദത്തോടെ ആർത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
