അവന്റെ കാലത്തു ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ് നേസർ പുറപ്പെട്ടുവന്നു; യെഹോയാക്കീം മൂന്നു സംവത്സരം അവന്നു ആശ്രിതനായി ഇരുന്നു; അതിന്റെ ശേഷം അവൻ തിരിഞ്ഞു അവനോടു മത്സരിച്ചു. അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ കൽദയരുടെ പടക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളെയും അരാമ്യർ, മോവാബ്യർ, അമ്മോന്യർ എന്നിവരുടെ പടക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളെയും അവന്റെ നേരെ അയച്ചു;
