Ecclesiastes 9:16
ജ്ഞാനം ബലത്തെക്കാൾ നല്ലതു തന്നേ, എങ്കിലും സാധുവിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനം തുച്ഛീകരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; അവന്റെ വാക്കു ആരും കൂട്ടാക്കുന്നതുമില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

| Wisdom | טוֹבָ֥ה | ṭôbâ | toh-VA |
| better is | חָכְמָ֖ה | ḥokmâ | hoke-MA |
| than strength: | מִגְּבוּרָ֑ה | miggĕbûrâ | mee-ɡeh-voo-RA |
| man's poor the nevertheless | וְחָכְמַ֤ת | wĕḥokmat | veh-hoke-MAHT |
| wisdom | הַמִּסְכֵּן֙ | hammiskēn | ha-mees-KANE |
| is despised, | בְּזוּיָ֔ה | bĕzûyâ | beh-zoo-YA |
| words his and | וּדְבָרָ֖יו | ûdĕbārāyw | oo-deh-va-RAV |
| are not | אֵינָ֥ם | ʾênām | ay-NAHM |
| heard. | נִשְׁמָעִֽים׃ | nišmāʿîm | neesh-ma-EEM |
