Ecclesiastes 9
13 ഞാൻ സൂര്യന്നു കീഴെ ഇങ്ങനെയും ജ്ഞാനം കണ്ടു; അതു എനിക്കു വലുതായി തോന്നി;
14 ചെറിയോരു പട്ടണം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അതിൽ മനുഷ്യർ ചുരുക്കമായിരുന്നു; വലിയോരു രാജാവു അതിന്റെ നേരെ വന്നു, അതിനെ നിരോധിച്ചു, അതിന്നെതിരെ വലിയ കൊത്തളങ്ങൾ പണിതു.
15 എന്നാൽ അവിടെ സാധുവായോരു ജ്ഞാനി പാർത്തിരുന്നു; അവൻ തന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്താൽ പട്ടണത്തെ രക്ഷിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും ആ സാധുമനുഷ്യനെ ആരും ഓർത്തില്ല.
13 This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
14 There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
15 Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.

This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:
