Deuteronomy 20:13
നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അതു നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചശേഷം അതിലുള്ള പുരുഷപ്രജയെ ഒക്കെയും വാളിന്റെ വായ്ത്തലയാൽ കൊല്ലേണം.

| delivered hath | אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ | ʾĕlōhêkā | ay-loh-HAY-ha |
| it into thine hands, | בְּיָדֶ֑ךָ | bĕyādekā | beh-ya-DEH-ha |
| smite shalt thou | וְהִכִּיתָ֥ | wĕhikkîtā | veh-hee-kee-TA |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| every | כָּל | kāl | kahl |
| male | זְכוּרָ֖הּ | zĕkûrāh | zeh-hoo-RA |
| edge the with thereof | לְפִי | lĕpî | leh-FEE |
| of the sword: | חָֽרֶב׃ | ḥāreb | HA-rev |
