Deuteronomy 14
1 നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു മക്കൾ ആകുന്നു; മരിച്ചവന്നു വേണ്ടി നിങ്ങളെ മുറിവേല്പിക്കയോ നിങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻകഷണ്ടിയുണ്ടാക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യരുതു.
2 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു നീ വിശുദ്ധജനമല്ലോ; ഭൂതലത്തിലുള്ള സകലജാതികളിലും വെച്ചു തനിക്കു സ്വന്തജനമായിരിപ്പാൻ യഹോവ നിന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
1 Ye are the children of the Lord your God: ye shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.
2 For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
