ആഹാബിന്നു ശമർയ്യയിൽ എഴുപതു പുത്രന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. യേഹൂ യിസ്രായേൽ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർക്കും മൂപ്പന്മാർക്കും ആഹാബിന്റെ പുത്രപാലകന്മാർക്കും ശമർയ്യയിലേക്കു എഴുത്തുകളെ എഴുതി അയച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:
