2 Chronicles 18
1 യെഹോശാഫാത്തിന്നു ധനവും മാനവും വളരെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; അവൻ ആഹാബിനോടു സംബന്ധം കൂടി.
2 ചില സംവത്സരം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം അവൻ ശമർയ്യയിൽ ആഹാബിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു; ആഹാബ് അവന്നും കൂടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ജനത്തിന്നും വേണ്ടി വളരെ ആടുകളെയും കാളകളെയും അറുത്തു; ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിലേക്കു തന്നോടുകൂടെ ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ വശീകരിച്ചു.
3 യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ആഹാബ് യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോശാഫാത്തിനോടു: നീ എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിലേക്കു പോരുമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അവൻ അവനോടു: ഞാനും നീയും എന്റെ ജനവും നിന്റെ ജനവും ഒരുപോലെയല്ലോ; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പോരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
4 യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവിനോടു: ഇന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിച്ചാലും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5 യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവു നാനൂറു പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ വരുത്തി അവരോടു: ഞങ്ങൾ ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിലേക്കു യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പോകയോ പോകാതിരിക്കയോ എന്തു വേണ്ടു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവർ: പുറപ്പെടുക; ദൈവം അതു രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
6 എന്നാൽ യെഹോശാഫാത്ത്: നാം അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇവിടെ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവാചകനായിട്ടു ഇനി ആരും ഇല്ലയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
7 അതിന്നു യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവു യെഹോശാഫാത്തിനോടു: നാം യഹോവയോടു അരുളപ്പാടു ചോദിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഇനി ഒരുത്തനുണ്ടു; എന്നാൽ അവൻ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ഒരിക്കലും ഗുണമല്ല എല്ലായ്പോഴുംദോഷം തന്നേ പ്രവചിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു അവനെ ഇഷ്ടമില്ല; അവൻ യിമ്ളയുടെ മകനായ മീഖായാവു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. രാജാവു അങ്ങനെ പറയരുതേ എന്നു യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് പറഞ്ഞു.
8 അങ്ങനെ യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവു ഒരു ഷണ്ഡനെ വിളിച്ചു: യിമ്ളയുടെ മകനായ മീഖായാവെ വേഗം കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവരിക എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.
9 യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവും യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോശാഫാത്തും രാജവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു ശമർയ്യയുടെ പടിവാതിൽ പ്രവേശനത്തിങ്കൽ ഒരു വിശാലസ്ഥലത്തു താന്താന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു; പ്രവാചകന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും അവരുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ പ്രവചിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
10 കെനയനയുടെ മകനായ സിദെക്കീയാവു തനിക്കു ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടു കൊമ്പുണ്ടാക്കി: നീ ഇവകൊണ്ടു അരാമ്യരെ അവർ ഒടുങ്ങുംവരെ കുത്തിക്കളയും എന്നിപ്രകാരം യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
11 പ്രവാചകന്മാർ ഒക്കെയും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ പ്രവചിച്ചു: ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെടുക; നീ കൃതാർത്ഥനാകും; യഹോവ അതു രാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
12 മീഖായാവെ വിളിപ്പാൻ പോയ ദൂതൻ അവനോടു: നോകൂ, പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വാക്കുകൾ ഒരുപോലെ രാജാവിന്നു ഗുണമായിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ വാക്കും അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തന്റേതുപോലെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; നീയും ഗുണമായി പറയേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
13 അതിന്നു മീഖായാവു: യഹോവയാണ, എന്റെ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു തന്നേ ഞാൻ പ്രസ്താവിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
14 അവൻ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നപ്പോൾ രാജാവു അവനോടു: മീഖായാവേ, ഞങ്ങൾ ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിലേക്കു യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു പോകയോ പോകാതിരിക്കയോ എന്തു വേണ്ടു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. അതിന്നു അവൻ: പുറപ്പെടുവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ കൃതാർത്ഥരാകും; അവർ നിങ്ങളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
15 രാജാവു അവനോടു: നീ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ സത്യമല്ലാതെ യാതൊന്നും എന്നോടു പറയരുതെന്നു എത്ര പ്രാവശ്യം ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു സത്യംചെയ്തു പറയേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
16 അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഇടയനില്ലാത്ത ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും പർവ്വതങ്ങളിൽ ചിതറിയിരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാൻ കണ്ടു; അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ: ഇവർക്കു നാഥനില്ല; ഇവൻ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു സമാധാനത്തോടെ മടങ്ങിപ്പോകട്ടെ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17 അപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവു യെഹോശാഫാത്തിനോടു: ഇവൻ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ദോഷമല്ലാതെ ഗുണം പ്രവചിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
18 അതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ! യഹോവ തന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ സൈന്യമെല്ലാം അവന്റെ വലത്തും ഇടത്തും നില്ക്കുന്നതും ഞാൻ കണ്ടു.
19 യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ആഹാബ് ചെന്നു ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിൽ പട്ടുപോകേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ ആർ വശീകരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു ഒരുത്തൻ ഇങ്ങനെയും ഒരുത്തൻ അങ്ങനെയും പറഞ്ഞു.
20 എന്നാറെ ഒരു ആത്മാവു മുമ്പോട്ടു വന്നു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിന്നു: ഞാൻ അവനെ വശീകരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യഹോവ അവനോടു: ഏതിനാൽ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
21 അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഞാൻ ചെന്നു അവന്റെ സകല പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും വായിൽ ഭോഷ്കിന്റെ ആത്മാവായിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. നീ അവനെ വശീകരിക്കും; നിനക്കു സാധിക്കും; നീ ചെന്നു അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്ക എന്നു അവൻ കല്പിച്ചു.
22 ആകയൽ ഇതാ, യഹോവ ഭോഷ്കിന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ നിന്റെ ഈ പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വായിൽ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു അനർത്ഥം കല്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
23 അപ്പോൾ കെനയനയുടെ മകനായ സിദെക്കീയാവു അടുത്തുചെന്നു മീഖായാവെ ചെകിട്ടത്തു അടിച്ചു: നിന്നോടു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആത്മാവു എന്നെ വിട്ടു ഏതു വഴിയായി കടന്നുവന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
24 അതിന്നു മീഖായാവു: നീ ഒളിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അറ തേടിനടക്കുന്ന ദിവസത്തിൽ നീ കാണും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
25 അപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ മീഖായാവെ പിടിച്ചു നഗരാധിപതിയായ ആമോന്റെയും രാജകുമാരനായ യോവാശിന്റെയും അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു:
26 ഇവനെ കാരാഗൃഹത്തിൽ ആക്കി, ഞാൻ സമാധാനത്തോടെ മടങ്ങിവരുവോളം ഞെരുക്കത്തിന്റെ അപ്പവും ഞെരുക്കത്തിന്റെ വെള്ളവുംകൊണ്ടു പോക്ഷിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറവിൻ.
27 അതിന്നു മീഖായാവു: നീ സമാധാനത്തോടെ മടങ്ങിവരുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ യഹോവ ഞാൻ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. സകലജാതികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നും അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
1 Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honour in abundance, and joined affinity with Ahab.
2 And after certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that he had with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramoth-gilead.
3 And Ahab king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Wilt thou go with me to Ramoth-gilead? And he answered him, I am as thou art, and my people as thy people; and we will be with thee in the war.
4 And Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel, Inquire, I pray thee, at the word of the Lord to day.
5 Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the king’s hand.
6 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides, that we might inquire of him?
7 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may inquire of the Lord: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.
8 And the king of Israel called for one of his officers, and said, Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.
9 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied before them.
10 And Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah had made him horns of iron, and said, Thus saith the Lord, With these thou shalt push Syria until they be consumed.
11 And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
12 And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
13 And Micaiah said, As the Lord liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak.
14 And when he was come to the king, the king said unto him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And he said, Go ye up, and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand.
15 And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the Lord?
16 Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the Lord said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace.
17 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?
18 Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the Lord; I saw the Lord sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.
19 And the Lord said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.
20 Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will entice him. And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith?
21 And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so.
22 Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil against thee.
23 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the Lord from me to speak unto thee?
24 And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
25 Then the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;
26 And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.
27 And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the Lord spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people.

Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the king’s hand.

But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord besides, that we might inquire of him?

And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, by whom we may inquire of the Lord: but I hate him; for he never prophesied good unto me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

And all the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper: for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.

And the messenger that went to call Micaiah spake to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets declare good to the king with one assent; let thy word therefore, I pray thee, be like one of theirs, and speak thou good.
13 അതിന്നു മീഖായാവു: യഹോവയാണ, എന്റെ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു തന്നേ ഞാൻ പ്രസ്താവിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And Micaiah said, As the Lord liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak.

And the king said to him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou say nothing but the truth to me in the name of the Lord?
16 അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഇടയനില്ലാത്ത ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ യിസ്രായേലൊക്കെയും പർവ്വതങ്ങളിൽ ചിതറിയിരിക്കുന്നതു ഞാൻ കണ്ടു; അപ്പോൾ യഹോവ: ഇവർക്കു നാഥനില്ല; ഇവൻ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു സമാധാനത്തോടെ മടങ്ങിപ്പോകട്ടെ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the Lord said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace.
17 അപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവു യെഹോശാഫാത്തിനോടു: ഇവൻ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു ദോഷമല്ലാതെ ഗുണം പ്രവചിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞില്ലയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell thee that he would not prophesy good unto me, but evil?
18 അതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു: എന്നാൽ യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ! യഹോവ തന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നതും സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ സൈന്യമെല്ലാം അവന്റെ വലത്തും ഇടത്തും നില്ക്കുന്നതും ഞാൻ കണ്ടു.
Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the Lord; I saw the Lord sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.
19 യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവായ ആഹാബ് ചെന്നു ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്തിൽ പട്ടുപോകേണ്ടതിന്നു അവനെ ആർ വശീകരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു ഒരുത്തൻ ഇങ്ങനെയും ഒരുത്തൻ അങ്ങനെയും പറഞ്ഞു.
And the Lord said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.
20 എന്നാറെ ഒരു ആത്മാവു മുമ്പോട്ടു വന്നു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ നിന്നു: ഞാൻ അവനെ വശീകരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യഹോവ അവനോടു: ഏതിനാൽ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will entice him. And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith?
21 അതിന്നു അവൻ: ഞാൻ ചെന്നു അവന്റെ സകല പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെയും വായിൽ ഭോഷ്കിന്റെ ആത്മാവായിരിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. നീ അവനെ വശീകരിക്കും; നിനക്കു സാധിക്കും; നീ ചെന്നു അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്ക എന്നു അവൻ കല്പിച്ചു.
And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so.
22 ആകയൽ ഇതാ, യഹോവ ഭോഷ്കിന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെ നിന്റെ ഈ പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വായിൽ കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു അനർത്ഥം കല്പിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.
Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil against thee.
23 അപ്പോൾ കെനയനയുടെ മകനായ സിദെക്കീയാവു അടുത്തുചെന്നു മീഖായാവെ ചെകിട്ടത്തു അടിച്ചു: നിന്നോടു സംസാരിപ്പാൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആത്മാവു എന്നെ വിട്ടു ഏതു വഴിയായി കടന്നുവന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah upon the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the Lord from me to speak unto thee?
24 അതിന്നു മീഖായാവു: നീ ഒളിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അറ തേടിനടക്കുന്ന ദിവസത്തിൽ നീ കാണും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And Micaiah said, Behold, thou shalt see on that day when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide thyself.
25 അപ്പോൾ യിസ്രായേൽരാജാവു പറഞ്ഞതു: നിങ്ങൾ മീഖായാവെ പിടിച്ചു നഗരാധിപതിയായ ആമോന്റെയും രാജകുമാരനായ യോവാശിന്റെയും അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു:
Then the king of Israel said, Take ye Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king’s son;
26 ഇവനെ കാരാഗൃഹത്തിൽ ആക്കി, ഞാൻ സമാധാനത്തോടെ മടങ്ങിവരുവോളം ഞെരുക്കത്തിന്റെ അപ്പവും ഞെരുക്കത്തിന്റെ വെള്ളവുംകൊണ്ടു പോക്ഷിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു രാജാവു കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറവിൻ.
And say, Thus saith the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.
27 അതിന്നു മീഖായാവു: നീ സമാധാനത്തോടെ മടങ്ങിവരുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ യഹോവ ഞാൻ മുഖാന്തരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. സകലജാതികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, കേട്ടുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നും അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
And Micaiah said, If thou certainly return in peace, then hath not the Lord spoken by me. And he said, Hearken, all ye people.
