ശമൂവേൽ ജീവപര്യന്തം ശൌലിനെ പിന്നെ കണ്ടില്ല; എങ്കിലും ശമൂവേൽ ശൌലിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ദുഃഖിച്ചു; യഹോവയും താൻ ശൌലിനെ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു രാജാവാക്കിയതുകൊണ്ടു അനുതപിച്ചു.
