1 Kings 21:20
ആഹാബ് ഏലീയാവോടു: എന്റെ ശത്രുവേ, നീ എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തിയോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിന്നു അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: അതേ, ഞാൻ കണ്ടെത്തി. യഹോവെക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു ചെയ്വാൻ നീ നിന്നെ വിറ്റുകളഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു

| to | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| Elijah, | אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ | ʾēliyyāhû | A-lee-YA-hoo |
| found thou Hast | הַֽמְצָאתַ֖נִי | hamṣāʾtanî | hahm-tsa-TA-nee |
| enemy? mine O me, | אֹֽיְבִ֑י | ʾōyĕbî | oh-yeh-VEE |
| And he answered, | וַיֹּ֣אמֶר | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-mer |
| found have I | מָצָ֔אתִי | māṣāʾtî | ma-TSA-tee |
| thee: because | יַ֚עַן | yaʿan | YA-an |
| thou hast sold | הִתְמַכֶּרְךָ֔ | hitmakkerkā | heet-ma-ker-HA |
| work to thyself | לַֽעֲשׂ֥וֹת | laʿăśôt | la-uh-SOTE |
| evil | הָרַ֖ע | hāraʿ | ha-RA |
| in the sight | בְּעֵינֵ֥י | bĕʿênê | beh-ay-NAY |
| of the Lord. | יְהוָֽה׃ | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
