1 Chronicles 18:1
അതിന്റെശേഷം ദാവീദ് ഫെലിസ്ത്യരെ തോല്പിച്ചു അടക്കി, ഗത്തും അതിനോടു ചേർന്ന ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ഫെലിസ്ത്യരുടെ കയ്യിൽ നിന്നു പിടിച്ചു.

| the Philistines, | פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים | pĕlištîm | peh-leesh-TEEM |
| subdued and | וַיַּכְנִיעֵ֑ם | wayyaknîʿēm | va-yahk-nee-AME |
| them, and took | וַיִּקַּ֛ח | wayyiqqaḥ | va-yee-KAHK |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| Gath | גַּ֥ת | gat | ɡaht |
| towns her and | וּבְנֹתֶ֖יהָ | ûbĕnōtêhā | oo-veh-noh-TAY-ha |
| out of the hand | מִיַּ֥ד | miyyad | mee-YAHD |
| of the Philistines. | פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ | pĕlištîm | peh-leesh-TEEM |
