1 Chronicles 12:17
ദാവീദ് അവരെ എതിരേറ്റുചെന്നു അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ സഹായിപ്പാൻ സമാധാനത്തോടെ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ എന്റെ ഹൃദയം നിങ്ങളോടു ചേർന്നിരിക്കും; എന്റെ കയ്യിൽ അന്യായം ഒന്നും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കെ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു എന്നെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുപ്പാനെങ്കിലോ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവം നോക്കി ശിക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

| unto them, If | לָהֶ֔ם | lāhem | la-HEM |
| come be ye | אִם | ʾim | eem |
| peaceably | לְשָׁל֞וֹם | lĕšālôm | leh-sha-LOME |
| unto me | בָּאתֶ֤ם | bāʾtem | ba-TEM |
| to help | אֵלַי֙ | ʾēlay | ay-LA |
| heart mine me, | לְעָזְרֵ֔נִי | lĕʿozrēnî | leh-oze-RAY-nee |
| shall be | יִֽהְיֶה | yihĕye | YEE-heh-yeh |
| knit | לִּ֧י | lî | lee |
| unto | עֲלֵיכֶ֛ם | ʿălêkem | uh-lay-HEM |
| if but you: | לֵבָ֖ב | lēbāb | lay-VAHV |
| ye be come to betray | לְיָ֑חַד | lĕyāḥad | leh-YA-hahd |
| enemies, mine to me | וְאִֽם | wĕʾim | veh-EEM |
| seeing there is no | לְרַמּוֹתַ֣נִי | lĕrammôtanî | leh-ra-moh-TA-nee |
| wrong | לְצָרַ֗י | lĕṣāray | leh-tsa-RAI |
| in mine hands, | בְּלֹ֤א | bĕlōʾ | beh-LOH |
| the God | חָמָס֙ | ḥāmās | ha-MAHS |
| fathers our of | בְּכַפַּ֔י | bĕkappay | beh-ha-PAI |
| look | יֵ֛רֶא | yēreʾ | YAY-reh |
| thereon, and rebuke | אֱלֹהֵ֥י | ʾĕlōhê | ay-loh-HAY |
| it. | אֲבוֹתֵ֖ינוּ | ʾăbôtênû | uh-voh-TAY-noo |
| וְיוֹכַֽח׃ | wĕyôkaḥ | veh-yoh-HAHK |
