லூக்கா 22
35 பின்னும் அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நான் உங்களைப் பணப்பையும் சாமான்பையும் பாதரட்சைகளும் இல்லாமல் அனுப்பினபோது, ஏதாகிலும் உங்களுக்கு குறைவாயிருந்ததா என்றார். அவர்கள், ஒன்றும் குறைவாயிருந்ததில்லை என்றார்கள்.
36 அதற்கு அவர்: இப்பொழுதோ பணப்பையும் சாமான்பையும் உடையவன் அவைகளை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளக்கடவன்; பட்டயம் இல்லாதவன் தன் வஸ்திரத்தை விற்று ஒன்றைக் கொள்ளக்கடவன்.
37 அக்கிரமக்காரரில் ஒருவனாக எண்ணப்பட்டார் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிற வாக்கியம் என்னிடத்தில் நிறைவேறவேண்டியதென்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன். என்னைப்பற்றிய காரியங்கள் முடிவுபெறுங்காலம் வந்திருக்கிறது என்றார்.
38 அதற்கு அவர்கள்: ஆண்டவரே, இதோ இங்கே இரண்டு பட்டயம் இருக்கிறது என்றார்கள். அவர்: போதும் என்றார்.
39 பின்பு அவர் புறப்பட்டு, வழக்கத்தின்படியே ஒலிவமலைக்குப் போனார், அவருடைய சீஷரும் அவரோடே கூடப்போனார்கள்.
40 அவ்விடத்தில் சேர்ந்தபொழுது அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் சோதனைக்குட்படாதபடிக்கு ஜெபம்பண்ணுங்கள் என்று சொல்லி,
41 அவர்களை விட்டுக் கல்லெறிதூரம் அப்புறம்போய், முழங்கால்படியிட்டு:
42 பிதாவே, உமக்குச் சித்தமானால் இந்தப் பாத்திரம் என்னைவிட்டு நீங்கும்படிசெய்யும்; ஆயினும் என்னுடைய சித்தத்தின்படியல்ல, உம்முடைய சித்தத்தின்படியே ஆகக்கடவது என்று ஜெபம்பண்ணினார்.
43 அப்பொழுது வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு தூதன் தோன்றி, அவரைப் பலப்படுத்தினான்.
44 அவர் மிகவும் வியாகுலப்பட்டு, அதிக ஊக்கத்தோடே ஜெபம்பண்ணினார். அவருடைய வேர்வை இரத்தத்தின் பெருந்துளிகளாய்த் தரையிலே விழுந்தது.
45 அவர் ஜெபம்பண்ணி முடித்து, எழுந்திருந்து, தம்முடைய சீஷரிடத்தில் வந்து, அவர்கள் துக்கத்தினாலே நித்திரை பண்ணுகிறதைக் கண்டு:
46 நீங்கள் நித்திரைபண்ணிகிறதென்ன? சோதனைக்குட்படாதபடிக்கு, எழுந்திருந்து ஜெபம்பண்ணுங்கள் என்றார்.
47 அவர் அப்படிப் பேசுகையில் ஜனங்கள் கூட்டமாய் வந்தார்கள். அவர்களுக்கு முன்னே பன்னிருவரில் ஒருவனாகிய யூதாஸ் என்பவனும் வந்து, இயேசுவை முத்தஞ்செய்யும்படி அவரிடத்தில் சேர்ந்தான்.
48 இயேசு அவனை நோக்கி: யூதாசே, முத்தத்தினாலேயா மனுஷகுமாரனைக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கிறாய் என்றார்.
49 அவரைச் சூழநின்றவர்கள் நடக்கப்போகிறதைக் கண்டு: ஆண்டவரே, பட்டயத்தினாலே வெட்டுவோமா என்றார்கள்.
50 அந்தப்படியே அவர்களில் ஒருவன் பிரதான ஆசாரியனுடைய வேலைக்காரனை வலதுகாதற வெட்டினான்.
51 அப்பொழுது இயேசு இம்மட்டில் நிறுத்துங்கள் என்று சொல்லி அவனுடைய காதைத்தொட்டு, அவனைச் சொஸ்தப்படுத்தினார்.
52 பின்பு இயேசு தமக்கு விரோதமாய் வந்த பிரதான ஆசாரியர்களையும் தேவாலயத்துச் சேனைத்தலைவர்களையும் மூப்பர்களையும் நோக்கி: ஒரு கள்ளனைப் பிடிக்கப் புறப்பட்டு வருகிறதுபோல, நீங்கள் பட்டயங்களையும் தடிகளையும் எடுத்துப் புறப்பட்டுவந்தீர்களே.
53 நான் தினந்தோறும் தேவாலயத்தில் உங்களுடனேகூட இருக்கையில் நீங்கள் என்னைப் பிடிக்கக் கை நீட்டவில்லை; இதுவோ உங்களுடைய வேளையும் அந்தகாரத்தின் அதிகாரமுமாயிருக்கிறது என்றார்.
54 அவர்கள் அவரைப் பிடித்தபின்பு, பிரதான ஆசாரியனுடைய வீட்டில் கொண்டுபோய் விட்டார்கள். பேதுருவும் தூரத்திலே பின்சென்றான்.
55 அவர்கள் முற்றத்தின் நடுவிலே நெருப்பை மூட்டி, அதைச் சுற்றி உட்கார்ந்தபோது, பேதுருவும் அவர்கள் நடுவிலே உட்கார்ந்தான்.
56 அப்பொழுது, ஒரு வேலைக்காரி அவனை நெருப்பண்டையிலே உட்கார்ந்திருக்கக்கண்டு, அவனை உற்றுப்பார்த்து: இவனும் அவனோடிருந்தான் என்றாள்.
57 அதற்கு அவன்: ஸ்திரீயே, அவனை அறியேன் என்று மறுதலித்தான்.
58 சற்றுநேரத்துக்குப் பின்பு வேறொருவன் அவனைக் கண்டு: நீயும் அவர்களில் ஒருவன் என்றான். அதற்குப் பேதுரு: மனுஷனே, நான் அல்ல என்றான்.
59 ஏறக்குறைய ஒருமணி நேரத்துக்குப்பின்பு வேறொருவன் அவனைப் பார்த்து: மெய்யாகவே இவனும் அவனோடிருந்தான், இவன் கலிலேயன்தான் என்று சாதித்தான்.
60 அதற்குப் பேதுரு: மனுஷனே, நீ சொல்லுகிறதை அறியேன் என்றான். அவன் இப்படிச் சொன்னவுடனே சேவல் கூவிற்று.
61 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் திரும்பி, பேதுருவை நோக்கிப்பார்த்தார். சேவல் கூவுகிறதற்கு முன்னே நீ என்னை மூன்றுதரம் மறுதலிப்பாய் என்று கர்த்தர் தன்னிடத்தில் சொன்ன வசனத்தை உடனே பேதுரு நினைவுகூர்ந்து,
62 வெளியே போய், மனங்கசந்து அழுதான்.
63 இயேசுவைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்ட மனுஷர் அவரைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணி, அடித்து,
64 அவருடைய கண்களைக் கட்டி, அவருடைய முகத்தில் அறைந்து: உன்னை அடித்தவன் யார், அதை ஞானதிருஷ்டியினால் சொல் என்று அவரைக்கேட்டதுமன்றி,
65 மற்றும் அநேக தூஷணவார்த்தைகளையும் அவருக்கு விரோதமாகச் சொன்னார்கள்.
66 விடியற்காலமானபோது ஜனத்தின் மூப்பரும் பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் வேதபாரகரும் கூடிவந்து, தங்கள் ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்தில் அவரைக் கொண்டுவந்து நிறுத்தி:
67 நீ கிறிஸ்துவா? அதை எங்களுக்குச்சொல் என்றார்கள். அதற்கு அவர்: நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னாலும் நம்பமாட்டீர்கள்.
68 நான் உங்களிடத்தில் வினாவினாலும் எனக்கு மாறுத்தரம் சொல்லமாட்டீர்கள், என்னை விடுதலைபண்ணவுமாட்டீர்கள்.
69 இதுமுதல் மனுஷகுமாரன் சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவனுடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் வீற்றிருப்பார் என்றார்.
70 அதற்கு அவர்களெல்லாரும்: அப்படியானால், நீ தேவனுடைய குமாரனா என்று கேட்டார்கள்; அதற்கு அவர்: நீங்கள் சொல்லுகிறபடியே நான் அவர்தான் என்றார்.
35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest’s house. And Peter followed afar off.
55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.
56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.
58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.
60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him.
64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
65 And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.
66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,
67 Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:
68 And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.
69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.

10 ஒரு ஓய்வுநாளில் அவர் ஜெபஆலயத்தில் போதகம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்.
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.
11 அப்பொழுது பதினெட்டு வருஷமாய்ப் பலவீனப்படுத்தும் ஆவியைக் கொண்ட ஒரு ஸ்திரீ அங்கேயிருந்தாள். அவள் எவ்வளவும் நிமிரக்கூடாத கூனியாயிருந்தாள்.
And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
12 இயேசு அவளைக் கண்டு, தம்மிடத்தில் அழைத்து: ஸ்திரீயே, உன் பலவீனத்தினின்று விடுதலையாக்கப்பட்டாய் என்று சொல்லி,
And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 அவள்மேல் தமது கைகளை வைத்தார்; உடனே அவள் நிமிர்ந்து, தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தினாள்.
And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
14 இயேசு ஓய்வுநாளிலே சொஸ்தமாக்கினபடியால், ஜெபஆலயத்தலைவன் கோபமடைந்து, ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: வேலைசெய்கிறதற்கு ஆறுநாள் உண்டே, அந்த நாட்களிலே நீங்கள் வந்து சொஸ்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ளுங்கள், ஓய்வுநாளிலே அப்படிச் செய்யலாகாது என்றான்.
And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
15 கர்த்தர் அவனுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: மாயக்காரனே, உங்களில் எவனும் ஓய்வுநாளில் தன் எருதையாவது தன் கழுதையையாவது தொழுவத்திலிருந்து அவிழ்த்துக்கொண்டுபோய், அதற்குத் தண்ணீர் காட்டுகிறதில்லையா?
The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
16 இதோ, சாத்தான் பதினெட்டு வருஷமாய்க் கட்டியிருந்த ஆபிரகாமின் குமாரத்தியாகிய இவளை ஓய்வுநாளில் இந்தக்கட்டிலிருந்து அவிழ்த்துவிடவேண்டியதில்லையா என்றார்.
And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
17 அவர் அப்படிச் சொன்னபோது, அவரை விரோதித்திருந்த அனைவரும் வெட்கப்பட்டார்கள். ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் அவரால் செய்யப்பட்ட சகல மகிமையான செய்கைகளைக்குறித்தும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டார்கள்.
And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
18 அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் எதற்கொப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அதை எதற்கு ஒப்பிடுவேன்?
Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
19 அது ஒரு கடுகுவிதைக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அதை ஒரு மனுஷன் எடுத்துத் தன் தோட்டத்திலே போட்டான்; அது வளர்ந்து, பெரிய மரமாயிற்று; ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகள் வந்து, அதின் கிளைகளில் அடைந்தது என்றார்.
It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.
20 மேலும் அவர்: தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தை நான் எதற்கு ஒப்பிடுவேன்?
And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?
21 அது புளித்தமாவுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அதை ஒரு ஸ்திரீ எடுத்து முழுவதும் புளிக்கும்வரைக்கும் மூன்றுபடிமாவிலே அடக்கிவைத்தாள் என்றார்.
It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
22 அவர் எருசலேமுக்குப் பிரயாணமாய்ப் போகும்போது, பட்டணங்கள்தோறும் கிராமங்கள்தோறும் உபதேசம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டு போனார்.
And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
23 அப்பொழுது ஒருவன் அவரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிறவர்கள் சிலபேர்தானோ என்று கேட்டான்; அதற்கு அவர்:
Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 இடுக்கமான வாசல்வழியாய் உட்பிரவேசிக்கப் பிரயாசப்படுங்கள், அநேகர் உட்பிரவேசிக்க வகைதேடினாலும் அவர்களாலே கூடாமற்போகும் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 வீட்டெஜமான் எழுந்து, கதவைப்பூட்டின பின்பு, நீங்கள் வெளியே நின்று ஆண்டவரே, ஆண்டவரே, எங்களுக்குத்திறக்க வேண்டுமென்று சொல்லிக் கதவைத் தட்டும்போது, அவர் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நீங்கள் எவ்விடத்தாரோ, உங்களை அறியேன் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுவார்.
When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 அப்பொழுது நீங்கள்: உம்முடைய சமுகத்தில் போஜனபானம்பண்ணினோமே, நீர் எங்கள் வீதிகளில் போதகம்பண்ணினீரே என்று சொல்லுவீர்கள்.
Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 ஆனாலும் அவர்: நீங்கள் எவ்விடத்தாரோ, உங்களை அறியேன், அக்கிரமக்காரராகிய நீங்களெல்லாரும் என்னைவிட்டு அகன்றுபோங்கள் என்று சொல்வார் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.
28 நீங்கள் ஆபிரகாமையும் ஈசாக்கையும் யாக்கோபையும் சகல தீர்க்கதரிசிகளையும் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்திலிருக்கிறவர்களாகவும், உங்களையோ புறம்பே தள்ளப்பட்டவர்களாகவும் காணும்போது உங்களுக்கு அழுகையும் பற்கடிப்பும் அங்கே உண்டாயிருக்கும்.
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
29 கிழக்கிலும் மேற்கிலும் வடக்கிலும் தெற்கிலும் இருந்து ஜனங்கள் வந்து, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் பந்தியிருப்பார்கள்.
And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
30 அப்பொழுது முந்தினோர் பிந்தினோராவார்கள், பிந்தினோர் முந்தினோராவார்கள் என்றார்.
And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
31 அந்த நாளிலே சில பரிசேயர் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து: நீர் இவ்விடத்தை விட்டுப் போய்விடும்; ஏரோது உம்மைக்கொலைசெய்ய மனதாய் இருக்கிறான் என்றார்கள்.
The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
32 அதற்கு அவர்: நான் இன்றைக்கும் நாளைக்கும் பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்தி, வியாதியுள்ளவர்களைச் சொஸ்தமாக்கி, மூன்றாம்நாளில் நிறைவடைவேன்.
And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.
33 இன்றைக்கும் நாளைக்கும் மறுநாளைக்கும் நான் நடமாடவேண்டும்; எருசலேமுக்குப் புறம்பே ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியும் மடிந்துபோகிறதில்லையென்று நான் சொன்னதாக, நீங்கள் போய் அந்த நரிக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்.
Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
34 எருசலேமே, எருசலேமே, தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக் கொலைசெய்து, உன்னிடத்தில் அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்களைக் கல்லெறிகிறவளே! கோழி தன் குஞ்சுகளைத் தன்சிறகுகளின் கீழே கூட்டிச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளும்வண்ணமாக நான் எத்தனைதரமோ உன் பிள்ளைகளைக் கூட்டிச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ள மனதாயிருந்தேன்; உங்களுக்கோ மனதில்லாமற்போயிற்று.
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
