וַֽיְהִי֙ it va-HEE בִּשְׁנַ֣ת came beesh-NAHT אַרְבַּ֔ע to ar-BA לְדָרְיָ֖וֶשׁ pass leh-dore-YA-vesh הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ in ha-MEH-lek הָיָ֨ה the ha-YA דְבַר fourth deh-VAHR יְהוָ֜ה year yeh-VA אֶל of el זְכַרְיָ֗ה king zeh-hahr-YA בְּאַרְבָּעָ֛ה Darius, beh-ar-ba-AH לַחֹ֥דֶשׁ that la-HOH-desh הַתְּשִׁעִ֖י the ha-teh-shee-EE בְּכִסְלֵֽו׃ word beh-hees-LAVE -
וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ they va-yeesh-LAHK בֵּֽית had bate אֵ֔ל sent ale שַׂרְאֶ֕צֶר unto וְרֶ֥גֶם the sahr-EH-tser מֶ֖לֶךְ house veh-REH-ɡem וַֽאֲנָשָׁ֑יו of MEH-lek לְחַלּ֖וֹת God va-uh-na-SHAV אֶת Sherezer leh-HA-lote פְּנֵ֥י and et יְהוָֽה׃ Regem-melech, peh-NAY -
לֵאמֹ֗ר to lay-MORE אֶל speak el הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ unto ha-koh-huh-NEEM אֲשֶׁר֙ the uh-SHER לְבֵית priests leh-VATE יְהוָ֣ה which yeh-VA צְבָא֔וֹת were tseh-va-OTE וְאֶל in veh-EL הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים the ha-neh-vee-EEM לֵאמֹ֑ר house lay-MORE הַֽאֶבְכֶּה֙ of ha-ev-KEH בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ the ba-HOH-desh הַחֲמִשִׁ֔י Lord ha-huh-mee-SHEE הִנָּזֵ֕ר of hee-na-ZARE כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר hosts, ka-uh-SHER עָשִׂ֔יתִי and ah-SEE-tee זֶ֖ה to zeh כַּמֶּ֥ה the ka-MEH שָׁנִֽים׃ prophets, sha-NEEM -
וַיְהִ֛י came vai-HEE דְּבַר the deh-VAHR יְהוָ֥ה word yeh-VA צְבָא֖וֹת of tseh-va-OTE אֵלַ֥י the ay-LAI לֵאמֹֽר׃ Lord lay-MORE -
אֱמֹר֙ unto ay-MORE אֶל all el כָּל the kahl עַ֣ם people am הָאָ֔רֶץ of ha-AH-rets וְאֶל the veh-EL הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים land, ha-koh-huh-NEEM לֵאמֹ֑ר and lay-MORE כִּֽי to kee צַמְתֶּ֨ם the tsahm-TEM וְסָפ֜וֹד priests, veh-sa-FODE בַּחֲמִישִׁ֣י saying, ba-huh-mee-SHEE וּבַשְּׁבִיעִ֗י When oo-va-sheh-vee-EE וְזֶה֙ ye veh-ZEH שִׁבְעִ֣ים fasted sheev-EEM שָׁנָ֔ה and sha-NA הֲצ֥וֹם mourned huh-TSOME צַמְתֻּ֖נִי in tsahm-TOO-nee אָֽנִי׃ the AH-nee -
וְכִ֥י when veh-HEE תֹאכְל֖וּ ye toh-heh-LOO וְכִ֣י did veh-HEE תִשְׁתּ֑וּ eat, teesh-TOO הֲל֤וֹא and huh-LOH אַתֶּם֙ when ah-TEM הָאֹ֣כְלִ֔ים ye ha-OH-heh-LEEM וְאַתֶּ֖ם did veh-ah-TEM הַשֹּׁתִֽים׃ drink, ha-shoh-TEEM -
הֲל֣וֹא ye huh-LOH אֶת not et הַדְּבָרִ֗ים hear ha-deh-va-REEM אֲשֶׁ֨ר uh-SHER קָרָ֤א the ka-RA יְהוָה֙ words yeh-VA בְּיַד֙ which beh-YAHD הַנְּבִיאִ֣ים the ha-neh-vee-EEM הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֔ים Lord ha-ree-shoh-NEEM בִּהְי֤וֹת hath bee-YOTE יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ cried yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM יֹשֶׁ֣בֶת by yoh-SHEH-vet וּשְׁלֵוָ֔ה the oo-sheh-lay-VA וְעָרֶ֖יהָ former veh-ah-RAY-ha סְבִיבֹתֶ֑יהָ prophets, seh-vee-voh-TAY-ha וְהַנֶּ֥גֶב when veh-ha-NEH-ɡev וְהַשְּׁפֵלָ֖ה Jerusalem veh-ha-sheh-fay-LA יֹשֵֽׁב׃ was yoh-SHAVE -
וַֽיְהִי֙ the va-HEE דְּבַר word deh-VAHR יְהוָ֔ה of yeh-VA אֶל the el זְכַרְיָ֖ה Lord zeh-hahr-YA לֵאמֹֽר׃ came lay-MORE -
כֹּ֥ה speaketh koh אָמַ֛ר the ah-MAHR יְהוָ֥ה Lord yeh-VA צְבָא֖וֹת of tseh-va-OTE לֵאמֹ֑ר hosts, lay-MORE מִשְׁפַּ֤ט saying, meesh-PAHT אֱמֶת֙ Execute ay-MET שְׁפֹ֔טוּ true sheh-FOH-too וְחֶ֣סֶד judgment, veh-HEH-sed וְרַֽחֲמִ֔ים and veh-ra-huh-MEEM עֲשׂ֖וּ shew uh-SOO אִ֥ישׁ mercy eesh אֶת and et אָחִֽיו׃ compassions ah-HEEV -
וְאַלְמָנָ֧ה oppress veh-al-ma-NA וְיָת֛וֹם not veh-ya-TOME גֵּ֥ר the ɡare וְעָנִ֖י widow, veh-ah-NEE אַֽל nor al תַּעֲשֹׁ֑קוּ the ta-uh-SHOH-koo וְרָעַת֙ fatherless, veh-ra-AT אִ֣ישׁ the eesh אָחִ֔יו stranger, ah-HEEOO אַֽל nor al תַּחְשְׁב֖וּ the tahk-sheh-VOO בִּלְבַבְכֶֽם׃ poor; beel-vahv-HEM -
וַיְמָאֲנ֣וּ they vai-ma-uh-NOO לְהַקְשִׁ֔יב refused leh-hahk-SHEEV וַיִּתְּנ֥וּ to va-yee-teh-NOO כָתֵ֖ף hearken, ha-TAFE סֹרָ֑רֶת and soh-RA-ret וְאָזְנֵיהֶ֖ם pulled veh-oze-nay-HEM הִכְבִּ֥ידוּ away heek-BEE-doo מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ׃ mee-sheh-MOH-ah -
וְלִבָּ֞ם they veh-lee-BAHM שָׂ֣מוּ made SA-moo שָׁמִ֗יר their sha-MEER מִ֠שְּׁמוֹעַ hearts MEE-sheh-moh-ah אֶת as et הַתּוֹרָ֤ה an ha-toh-RA וְאֶת adamant veh-ET הַדְּבָרִים֙ stone, ha-deh-va-REEM אֲשֶׁ֨ר lest uh-SHER שָׁלַ֜ח they sha-LAHK יְהוָ֤ה should yeh-VA צְבָאוֹת֙ hear tseh-va-OTE בְּרוּח֔וֹ the beh-roo-HOH בְּיַ֖ד beh-YAHD הַנְּבִיאִ֣ים law, ha-neh-vee-EEM הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֑ים and ha-ree-shoh-NEEM וַֽיְהִי֙ the va-HEE קֶ֣צֶף words KEH-tsef גָּד֔וֹל which ɡa-DOLE מֵאֵ֖ת the may-ATE יְהוָ֥ה Lord yeh-VA צְבָאֽוֹת׃ of tseh-va-OTE -
וַיְהִ֥י it vai-HEE כַאֲשֶׁר is ha-uh-SHER קָרָ֖א come ka-RA וְלֹ֣א to veh-LOH שָׁמֵ֑עוּ pass, sha-MAY-oo כֵּ֤ן that kane יִקְרְאוּ֙ as yeek-reh-OO וְלֹ֣א he veh-LOH אֶשְׁמָ֔ע cried, esh-MA אָמַ֖ר and ah-MAHR יְהוָ֥ה they yeh-VA צְבָאֽוֹת׃ would tseh-va-OTE -
וְאֵ֣סָעֲרֵ֗ם I veh-A-sa-uh-RAME עַ֤ל scattered al כָּל them kahl הַגּוֹיִם֙ with ha-ɡoh-YEEM אֲשֶׁ֣ר a uh-SHER לֹֽא whirlwind loh יְדָע֔וּם among yeh-da-OOM וְהָאָ֙רֶץ֙ all veh-ha-AH-RETS נָשַׁ֣מָּה the na-SHA-ma אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם nations ah-huh-ray-HEM מֵֽעֹבֵ֖ר whom may-oh-VARE וּמִשָּׁ֑ב they oo-mee-SHAHV וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ knew va-ya-SEE-moo אֶֽרֶץ not. EH-rets חֶמְדָּ֖ה Thus hem-DA לְשַׁמָּֽה׃ the leh-sha-MA
