ಕರ್ತನು--ಅವರು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯಲಿ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನು; ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನೂ ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಇವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಒಬ್ಬನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಕರ್ತನಾದ ನಾನು ಇದನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸಮೂಹಕ್ಕೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇದನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕ್ಷೀಣವಾಗಿ ಅದರಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಯುವರು.

ಯೂದನು 1:5
ನೀವು ಇದನ್ನು ಒಂದು ಸಾರಿ ತಿಳಿದವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ತರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪೇಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅದು ಯಾವದಂದರೆ--ಕರ್ತನು (ತನ್ನ) ಪ್ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ದರೂ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ನಂಬದೆ ಹೋದ ವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹಾರ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
