ಮೋಶೆ ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪಾಳತಿ ನೋಡು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ಈ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟವನ್ನೇರಿ

ಆಗ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ತನಗೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಲೋಟನ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿಹೋದನು.

ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 14:10
ಸಿದ್ದೀಮ್ ತಗ್ಗು ಜೇಡಿನ ಕುಣಿಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು. ಸೊದೋಮ್ ಗೊಮೋರಗಳ ಅರಸರು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದರು. ಉಳಿದವರು ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
