Nehemiah 1:11
ಓ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ನಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಭಯಪಡಲು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಸೇವಕರ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಿವಿ ಆಲೈಸುತ್ತಾ ಇರಲಿ; ಇಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಿಗೆ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕರುಣೆ ದೊರಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಪಾನ ಕೊಡುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು.

ಅರಸನಾದ ಅರ್ತಷಸ್ತನ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತನೇವರುಷದ ನೀಸಾನ್ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಯಿ ತಂದರೆ, ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವಿರುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ನಾನು ಅವನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖ ದಲ್ಲಿ ದುಃಖಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ.

ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಈಗ ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಪಾಪಗಳ ಅರಿಕೆಮಾಡುವದನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ಕೇಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಿವಿ ಅಲೈಸುತ್ತಾ ಇರಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ತೆರೆದಿರಲಿ.

ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅವರ ಕನಸಿನ ಅರ್ಥ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಪಾನದಾಯಕನನ್ನು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಫರೋ ಹನ ಕೈಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವವನಾದನು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಲಯದ ಸಂಬಂಧವಾದ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಲಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಗೋಡೆಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನಾನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವ ಮನೆಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ತೊಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಮರ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅರಸನವನಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಆಸಾಫನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನನಗೆ ಪತ್ರ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಡಲಿ ಅಂದೆನು. ಆಗ ದೇವರ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಕೈ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅರಸನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

ಆಗ ಎಜ್ರನು -- ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯವನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅರ ಸನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಥಾದ್ದನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ಅರಸನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಅವನ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಅರಸನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವುಳ್ಳ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನನಗೆ ಕೃಪೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗಳ ದೇವರಾಗಿ ರುವ ಕರ್ತನು ಸ್ತುತಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ.

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನುನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡು ವದು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ದೇವರ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ಹೋರಾಡಿ ಜಯಿಸಿದ್ದೀ ಅಂದನು.

ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಈಡೇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಪಾರಸಿಯ ಅರಸನಾದ ಕೋರೆಷನ ಮೊದಲನೇ ವರುಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಪಾರಸಿಯ ಅರಸನಾದ ಕೋರೆಷನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಾರೋಣದಿಂದಲೂ ಬರಹದಿಂದಲೂ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

ಈ ಎಜ್ರನು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮೋಶೆಯ ನ್ಯಾಯಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನುರಿತ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಇವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೈ ಇದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಅರಸನು ಇವನಿಗೆ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 32:11
ಈಗ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಏಸಾವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸು. ಅವನು ಬಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲುವನೇನೋ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.
