Leviticus 21:1
ತರುವಾಯ ಕರ್ತನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀನು ಆರೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯಾಜಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳು--ಸತ್ತವರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನೂ ಹೊಲೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು.

ಯಾಜಕಕಾಂಡ 21:11
ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಯಾವ ಮೃತ ಶರೀರದ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು; ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಾಗಲಿ ತಾಯಿಗಾಗಲಿ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.

ಓ ಯಾಜಕರೇ, ಇದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿರಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮನೆತನದವರೇ, ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಯವರೇ, ನೀವು ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ. ನೀವು ಮಿಚ್ಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಉರ್ಲಾಗಿಯೂ ತಾಬೋರಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಡ್ಡಿದ ಬಲೆಯಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದಕಾರಣ ನಿಮಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ಪು ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ನನ್ನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಲೇವಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರಿ.
