Leviticus 16:20
ಹೀಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಭೆಯ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನು ಒಂದು ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳ ಆಡನ್ನು ತರಬೇಕು.

ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಅಶುದ್ಧ ತ್ವದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವರ ಪಾಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳಿಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಅವನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಅವರ ಅಶುದ್ಧ ತ್ವದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಭೆಯಗುಡಾರಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.

ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅದನ್ನು ವಧಿಸಿ ದನು; ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅದರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ತನ್ನ ಬೆರಳಿನಿಂದ ಹಚ್ಚಿ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧೀಕರಿಸಿ ಉಳಿದ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಯ್ದನು. ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಂಧಾನಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಪವಿತ್ರಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಯಾವ ಪಾಪದ ಬಲಿಯ ರಕ್ತವು ಸಭೆಯ ಡೇರೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತರಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತೋ ಆ ಪಾಪದ ಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು; ಅದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಡಬೇಕು.
