ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಜಕರ ಕಾಲುಗಳು ಸ್ಥಿರವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಆಚೇದಡಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ನೀವು ಈ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಇಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾ ಪಿಸು ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು; ಕರ್ತನು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ತಂದು ತಾವು ಇಳಿದುಕೊಂಡ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ದರು.
ಯೆಹೋಶುವ 3:13
ಆಗ ಆಗುವದೇನಂದರೆ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಭೂಮಿಗೂ ಕರ್ತನಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನ ಆ ಮಂಜೂಷ ವನ್ನು ಹೊರುವ ಯಾಜಕರ ಅಂಗಾಲುಗಳು ಯೊರ್ದ ನಿನ ನೀರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟಾಗಲೇ ನದಿಯ ನೀರು ಭೇದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಹರಿದು ಬರುವ ನೀರು ಹರಿಯದೆ ರಾಶಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಜನ ರಿಗೆಲ್ಲಾ--ಇಗೋ, ಈ ಕಲ್ಲು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೇಳಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಚನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿತು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಗಳೆಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಇದೇ ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸ್ತಂಭವಾಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ ಈ ಕಲ್ಲು ದೇವರ ಮನೆಯಾಗಿರುವದು. ಆಗ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವದ ರಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹತ್ತರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ನಾನು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
