ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಿ ರುವ ಉತ್ತರದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಅರಸರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲ್ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವಂಥ ಲೋಕದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಗಳಿಗೂ ಕುಡಿಸಿದೆನು; ಶೇಷಕಿನ ಅರಸನು ಅವರ ತರುವಾಯ ಕುಡಿಯುವನು.

ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದ ಕಾರಣ ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಾನು ಕಳು ಹಿಸಿ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕ ನಾದ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು, ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅದರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ಮ ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಸಿಳ್ಳಿಡುವಿಕೆಗೂ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿತ್ಯ ಹಾಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಇವುಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಹಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರವುಳ್ಳ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬ ದೂತನು ಪರಲೋಕದಿಂದ ಇಳಿಯುವದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು; ಅವನ ಪ್ರಭಾವದಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವುಂಟಾಯಿತು.

ಬಾಬೆಲಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಯೆರೆವಿಾಯನ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೇಳಿಸಿದ ವಾಕ್ಯವು.

ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರುಷ ತುಂಬಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನನ್ನೂ ಆ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನೂ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಅಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ ದಂಡಿಸುವೆನು. ಅದನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವೆನು.
ಯೆಶಾಯ 47:1
ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯಾದ ಓ ಕನ್ಯಾ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೇ, ಕೆಳಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದು ದೂಳಿ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೋ, ಓ ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಕುಮಾರಿಯೇ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನರಹಿತಳಾಗಿ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೋ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ಕೋಮಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಜೂಕಾದವಳು ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ.
