Genesis 24:4
ನನ್ನ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೂ ಬಂಧುಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಹೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಮಗನಾದ ಇಸಾಕನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕೆಂದೂ ಪರಲೋಕ ಭೂಲೋಕಗಳ ದೇವರಾಗಿ ರುವ ಕರ್ತನ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ಆಣೆಯಿಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.

ನಾಹೋರ ನಿಂದ ತೆರಹನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಹೋರನು ನೂರಹತ್ತೊಂಭತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಬದುಕಿದನು. ಅವನಿಂದ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರೂ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದರು.

ಕರ್ತನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು--ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತನಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಪೀಠವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದನು.

ಇವುಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಮಿಲ್ಕಳು ಸಹ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ನಾಹೋರನಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.
