2 Samuel 18:32
ಅರಸನು ಕೂಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನಿಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮವೋ ಅಂದನು. ಕೂಷ್ಯನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಶತ್ರು ಗಳು ಕೇಡುಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಆ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇರಲಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಅರಸನು-- ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಕ್ಷೇಮವೋಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಹೀಮಾಚನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ--ಯೋವಾಬನು ಅರಸನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮೂಹ ವನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಅದು ಏನೋ ನಾನರಿಯೆ ಅಂದನು.

ದೇವರು ಎದ್ದೇಳುವಾಗ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಗೆ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಚದುರಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ; ಆತ ನನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸುವವರು ಆತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ಓಡಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಆಗ ಬೆಲ್ತೆಶಚ್ಚರನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ಒಂದು ಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಸ್ಮಿತನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳವಳಗೊಂಡನು. ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ-- ಬೆಲ್ತೆಶಚ್ಚರನೇ, ಕನಸಾಗಲಿ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳವಳಪಡಿಸದಿರಲಿ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಬೆಲ್ತೆಶ ಚ್ಚರನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ಆ ಕನಸು ನಿನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಅದರ ಅರ್ಥವು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೂ ಆಗಲಿ.
