ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಔತಣ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ತಿಂದು ಕುಡಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು. ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ದಂಡುಗಳು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಾರದೆ ಹೋದವು.

ತರುವಾಯ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಇಂಥಿಂಥ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ದಂಡು ಇಳಿಯಬೇಕೆಂದು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
