2 Kings 24:2
ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ, ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ, ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರ, ಅಮ್ಮೋನ್ಯರ ಗುಂಪುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳಾದ ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತಿನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯೆಹೂದವನ್ನು ನಾಶ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಕರ್ತನು--ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೆಹೂದವನ್ನು ಸಹ ನನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವೆನು; ಇದ ಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ಆದುಕೊಂಡ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಯೆರೂ ಸಲೇಮನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರು ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವದೆಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತು ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲೆಯನ್ನೊಡ್ಡಿದರು. ಆಗ ಅದು ಅವರ ಹಳ್ಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿತು.

ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದ ಕಾರಣ ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಾನು ಕಳು ಹಿಸಿ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕ ನಾದ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು, ಈ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಅದರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿಯೂ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ಮ ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಸಿಳ್ಳಿಡುವಿಕೆಗೂ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿತ್ಯ ಹಾಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಔತಣ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ತಿಂದು ಕುಡಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು. ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ದಂಡುಗಳು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಾರದೆ ಹೋದವು.
