ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎರಡನೇ ಸಾರಿ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬರೆದು--ನೀವು ನನ್ನವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳುವ ವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿರುವ ಮನು ಷ್ಯರ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನಾಳೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಇಜ್ರೇಲಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು.

ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶಕಾಂಡ 5:9
ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳಲೂಬಾರದು, ಸೇವಿಸಲೂಬಾರದು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಾಗಿರುವ ನಾನು ರೋಷವುಳ್ಳ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಅಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೂರನೆಯ ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ತಲಾಂತರದ ವರೆಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾದ ಕೆಲವು ವಿಷಯಗಳು ನನಗಿವೆ; ಅದೇ ನಂದರೆ, ಯೆಜೆಬೇಲೆಂಬ ಆ ಹೆಂಗಸು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ನಿಯೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಜಾರತ್ವ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನನ್ನ ದಾಸರಿಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ವಂಚಿಸುತ್ತಿರು
