1 ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಆಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆ ಬರ ಉಂಟಾ ಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬೇತ್ಲೆ ಹೇಮಿನವನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡ ತಿಯ ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೋವಾಬ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೋದನು.

ಎಲೀಷನು ತಾನು ಬದುಕಿಸಿದ ಮಗನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದವಳಿಗೆ -- ನೀನು ಎದ್ದು ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರೂ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳ ಉಂಟೋ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡಿರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಬರವನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಅದು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಏಳು ವರುಷದ ವರೆಗೂ ಇರುವದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Leviticus 26:19
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಲದ ಗರ್ವವನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು ಹಾಕಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಕಾಶವನ್ನು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿತ್ತಾಳೆಯಂತೆಯೂ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.
