1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads. On his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads, blasphemous names.ಆಗ ನಾನು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮರಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತೆನು, ಸಮುದ್ರದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮೃಗವು ಏರಿ ಬರುವದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಏಳು ತಲೆಗಳೂ ಹತ್ತು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳೂ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತು ಕಿರೀಟಗಳೂ ತಲೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದೂಷಣೆಯ ನಾಮವೂ ಇದ್ದವು.

2 The beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.ನಾನು ಕಂಡ ಮೃಗವು ಚಿರತೆಯಂತಿತ್ತು; ಅದರ ಕಾಲುಗಳು ಕರಡಿಯ ಕಾಲುಗಳಂತೆಯೂ ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿ ಸಿಂಹದ ಬಾಯಂತೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದವು; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಘಟಸರ್ಪವು ತನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಆಸನವನ್ನು ಮಹಾ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು.

3 One of his heads looked like it had been wounded fatally. His fatal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled at the beast.ಅದರ ತಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಗಾಯ ಹೊಂದಿ ಸಾಯುವಹಾಗಿರುವದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ಆ ಗಾಯವು ವಾಸಿಯಾಯಿತು; ಆಗ ಭೂಲೋಕದವರೆಲ್ಲರು ಆ ಮೃಗದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

4 They worshiped the dragon, because he gave his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"ಘಟ ಸರ್ಪನು ಆ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟವ ನಾದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಆ ಘಟಸರ್ಪನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡುವವರಾದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ಮೃಗವನ್ನು ಆರಾ ಧಿಸಿ--ಈ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನರು ಯಾರು? ಇದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರು ಶಕ್ತರು ಅಂದರು.

5 A mouth speaking great things and blasphemy was given to him. Authority to make war for forty-two months was given to him.ಬಡಾಯಿ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ದೂಷಣೆಯ ಮಾತು ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಡುವ ಬಾಯಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತೆರಡು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.

6 He opened his mouth for blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his dwelling, those who dwell in heaven.ಆಗ ಅದು ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೂ ಆತನ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನೂ ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವವರನ್ನೂ ದೂಷಿಸಿ ದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾದ ದೂಷಣೆಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆಯಿತು.

7 It was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them. Authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation was given to him.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲುವಂತೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಸಕಲ ಕುಲ ಭಾಷೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.

8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been killed.ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರ ಹಾಕಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ಯಾರಾರ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು ವಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಕುರಿಮರಿಯಾದಾ ತನ ಜೀವಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಆ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೃಗವನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವರು.

9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear.ಕಿವಿಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಕೇಳಲಿ.

10 If anyone has captivity, he will go. If anyone is with the sword, he must be killed.{TR reads "If anyone leads into captivity, into captivity he goes. If anyone will kill with the sword, he must be killed with a sword." instead of "If anyone has captivity, he goes away. If anyone is with the sword, he must be killed."} Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.ಸೆರೆಗೆ ನಡಿಸುವವನು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವನು; ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವವನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಕೊಲೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿ ಶುದ್ಧರ ತಾಳ್ಮೆಯೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.

11 I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon.ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮೃಗವು ಭೂಮಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರು ವದನ್ನು ನಾನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಎರಡು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳಿದ್ದವು; ಇದು ಘಟಸರ್ಪದಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿತು.

12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed.ಇದು ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೃಗದ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅದರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ನಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಮರಣಕರವಾದ ಗಾಯ ವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕೆ ಭೂಲೋಕವೂ ಭೂನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೂ ಆರಾಧಿಸು ವಂತೆ ಇದು ಮಾಡುವಂಥದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.

13 He performs great signs, even making fire come down out of the sky to the earth in the sight of people.ಇದು ಮಹ ತ್ತಾದ ಸೂಚಕಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುವಂಥದ್ದಾಗಿ ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೆಂಕಿಯು ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

14 He deceives my own people who dwell on the earth because of the signs he was granted to do in front of the beast; saying to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived.ಮೃಗದ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಂಥಾ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಜನರನ್ನು ಮೋಸಗೊಳಿಸುವದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಗಾಯಹೊಂದಿ ಬದುಕಿದ ಮೃಗಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.

15 It was given to him to give breath to it, to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause as many as wouldn't worship the image of the beast to be killed.ಮೃಗದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವು ಮಾತನಾಡುವಂತೆಯೂ ಆ ಮೃಗದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಯಾರಾರು ಆರಾಧಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸು ವಂತೆಯೂ ಆ ಮೃಗದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಜೀವ ಕೊಡುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರವು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಇತ್ತು.

16 He causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands, or on their foreheads;ಅದು ಚಿಕ್ಕವರು ದೊಡ್ಡ ವರು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರು ಬಡವರು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರರು ದಾಸರು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲಗೈಯ ಮೇಲಾಗಲಿ ಹಣೆಗಳ ಮೇಲಾಗಲಿ ಗುರುತು ಹೊಂದಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ

17 and that no one would be able to buy or to sell, unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name.ಆ ಗುರುತಾಗಲಿ ಮೃಗದ ಹೆಸರಾಗಲಿ ಅದರ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಅಂಕೆಯಾಗಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದವನು ಕ್ರಯ ವಿಕ್ರಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡದಂತೆಯೂ ಅದು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.

18 Here is wisdom. He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is six hundred sixty-six.ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವಿದೆ. ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವನು ಆ ಮೃಗದ ಅಂಕೆಯನ್ನು ಎಣಿಸಲಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಅಂಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ; ಅವನ ಅಂಕೆಯು ಆರುನೂರ ಅರವತ್ತಾರು.
